Having on team Trump learning from Iraq, they have no intention of attempting it, so whatever happens in the aftermath is on the Iranians. Hopefully they can rise to the occasion, if not, well that sucks. Too bad. Try harder. If someone comes along and successfully puts the place back together, great, we can buy oil from them. If the place collapses into a Mad Max sh*thole, hopefully Tina Turner knows how to extract oil out of the ground. Parachute in some food if you feel bad. Just don't let any "Death to America" chanting refugees come here. They can learn to deal with it.

I imagine the plan all along has been for Israel to have a heavy hand in how Iran 'recovers'.

Church would be ok except for the people. People ruin everything.

I haven't attended church regularly in decades.  I liked how everyone wore some nicer threads in an attempt to hold on to the old days when men donned hats and ties and the women dresses when they were out in public.  They also seemed civil in church.

Can't help but wonder if the Walmart pajama party is a thing in modern church attendance.

Their women are off limits and segregated from the men. It's kind of an open secret that they use their nephews in unpleasant ways. Not that there's anything wrong with that.

Did I use that Seinfeld quote correctly?

Funny how the mainstream propaganda ignores this practice in those countries.  Heard several podcast interviews of soldiers over the years bringing this to light.  Disgusting.

  4. I wonder if Stroud's issues come from Houston NOT prioritizing the OL this or last year.  Didn't they trade Tunsil before the season started?  FFS if you protect the QB at least a little better he won't shiot the bed.

I also keep hearing about Denver defense winning the game with Maye strip-sacks.  While that might be an issue I also think the NE run-stuffing D could press a pine-smitten Stidham into having to win the game with just a week's worth of practice trying to find timing with downfield receivers and stone-hands Sutton.

I'm sipping the Jefferson Reserve cask strength again.  I spent today watching football and doing my annual orange prep (well, tangelos) for the year's old fashioneds.  My next door neighbor has a ton of tangelo trees on our border, and is more than happy if I take as many as I want.  I slice them thin, pat them dry, coat them with sugar, smoke them on the pellet grill for a while, then finish them in the oven while I put in the next batch.  They make a good garnish and I'm looking forward to seeing if the sugar coating (new this year) adds to the flavor.  I may add them occasionally to sipping whiskeys as well.

I also tried drying some orange peels to make homemade orange bitters, but they dried quicker than I expected and got quite shriveled.  I'm not sure that matters, as long as the oils are still in there.  I'll decide tomorrow if I want to start those over.

Curious about the plan for the citrus after prep.  Are you freezing the citrus or canning them?

    Not yet … should I?

I was only curious.  I am not a bourbon drinker except for a sip here and there and some old fashions.  We bought a bottle after a distillery tour in Kentucky.  Was just wondering if anyone else here had tried it (or even heard of it).

  7. Also might give the home made eggnog a shot this weekend ... Have almost always added rum at the wife's request but I have some potent cherry brandy that propels aircraft that I might cut with the nog ...
