    Who else went WR WR

I went WR/QB and I'm happy with my team... Moss/Rivers Of course this is because we have a 2 keeper league where keeping a player costs you the round ahead of whatever they cost you the year before (no top three round picks can be kept). Because of this I have Frank Gore for my 3rd round pick, and Steve Slaton for my 12th. With this in mind I'm probably not the target audience of this thread.

Bonehead Draft Pick Award At Your Draft?

Looking at some of the things mentioned here I don't know how well my entry will fare but here goes. 12 team league, 2 keepers from previous season, TD heavy scoring system Pick 10 in the first round. First quarterback to go .... Tony Romo I'm filing it under supreme Homerism looking at the guys other picks and his propensity for picking Cowboys when he could.

What do you need gore to do for you?

As I'm beating the person I'm playing 35-83 I just have to hope that .. let's see... Gore + 48 > Bouldin + Todd Heap Of course I know my luck. Be ready for the Bouldin/Heap all career highlight night.

    Knee jerk waiver wire grabs

That's pretty much how my main league does it. Wed/Fri nights are waiver nights, order determined by reverse records (worst goes first...) I have a laundry list of things I'm going to have in my waiver requests. I don't think I'll get a good pick as thanks to having Romo, Buress, Reggie Wayne, and the NE D I'm pretty much manhandling my opening week opponent. I'll probably throw Ward in there on a lark, but have no aspirations of picking him up.

    Tony Romo is KILLING ME!

This is right about where I had him too. I also have him, I also started him. I'm also a self professed Cowboys fan. In my main league, I have him, Plaxico, Reggie Wayne, and the NE Defense. I'm hanging a whipping of near biblical proportions on the guy I'm playing. I also have Frank Gore still to go. (current score 35-83) I am going to let myself bask and enjoy this for a day before the reality of the rest of my season happens, please, let me have my little happy moments.

    Frank Gore's Week 6 Ranking

I have concerns about Gore too, but my alternative is Kevan Barlow in his slot so Gore is the man for the time being. Back on the bench I have Addai waiting for that "take over the role" breakout performance. (and keeper potential)
  7. It's always good to see a player get back around to doing what makes them a really valuable member of a franchise. The complete story!

    Desperate - Start Which QB

From a "the other side of the coin" position. I have been mroe impressed with the Giants and Jag's defenses this year. So I would probably opt for Leftwich. YMMV, just MHO

    RB quandry week....

I have the following RB's. I can start two. The first is a lock starter, but I'm having trouble feeling decisive about any number 2 this week. (Could be a fibre in my diet issue, but I think it's more a situational play of running backs issue) 1) Clinton Portis - Lock start. No questions. 2) Frank Gore - Worried about fumbles, but they're playing OAKLAND of all people.... 3) Joseph Addai - RBBC with Rhodes, but they're playing the TITANS of all people.... 4) Kevan Barlow - He was sharing carries with a guy who is now out 2-4 weeks, As for details: 12 team league, TD heavy but some minimal points for yards, and yes I'm already considering packaging one of these guys up to try to get some help at WR, where my team is substantially weaker. Portis/Barlow is my most probable choice, but I'm looking at Gore and Addai and feeling more tempted than a congressman with a freezer full of money and new pages to spend it on... I am not sure if at this point I just need the supportive "you're on the right path" talk or someone to slap me in the face and make me stick Gore of Addai in. And if there's anything the internet is for it's to get flamed and praised by anonymous individuals.. so here I am Thanks in advance and all the usual

    WR dilema...

I have a good RB corps, and solid at every position except WR. Which three of these do you see being worth starting this week? (And yes you can poke me in the eye for having such a WR weak draft.. ) J. Cotchery, NYJ C. Henry, CIN NE M. Jenkins, ATL B. Stokley, IND L. Evans, BUF I've also got Rod SMith and Dieon Branch, but i'm waiting for either of them to show me something before getting a start. Any input would be greatly appreciated.

    The Real Story: TO

This poll needs a third option... "He was a little drama queen and as any art school student knows nothing gets attention faster than a botched suicide". Maybe TO needs to go Emo

Clinton Portis? Local news or rumors?

No, I was not and I apologize. Something on the firewall here at work was directing me to a blank page after submission, then when I hit refresh it apparently reposted it.
  14. Basically the topic says it all. Like many Portis owners I'm wondering what is up with him and the national media is decidedly vague with him saying he plans on starting, but still being listed as doubtful. What are the locals saying? Anything on the DC area sports radio or such?
