I am starting Garcia over McNair. The Eagles need the game. Westbrook's foot is ailing a little, and Andy Reid never loved the run anyway even when Donovan was in there. Especially after another dud performance at home last yeek, I am leery of Favre on the road, epsecially against a Niner's team coming back home that will be 'loaded for bear', needing a win themselves.

Houston. I wouldn't start him, but as flex.... yup.
-
If I had Palmer, I would never bench him, he's a Stud QB having a so-so year. And...for Vick? Nah.
-
McNair is a decent start this week according to ESPN's FF page. Fyi only. If a playoff spot is riding on the game, start Clayton, better to get some points out of him than none from Colston... and the Saints on the road at Dallas scares me anyway... they are not the same team away from the Superdome... still good... but Dallas is a team posessed right now... Good luck.

I agree. If you're in a performance league, each of those two will lose yardage to the starters (J Jones and F Taylor).

Inconsistent bunch of F*&#@N receivers

Caldwell and Stallworth. I own Reche and I am starting Garcia as well... and he has to throw to someone, hence Stallworth. I shy away from Boldin all the time because of Fitz. I don't see them both turning in 100 yd days against a still good, still decent Seattle team. I think Furrey is a sucker bet. Everyone says the Lions will go pass happy on the Vikes, just a gut feel that does not happen. And two words to that - Roy Williams. Chambers and Galloway are too much "zero or hero"....and look no further than the QB's that have to get them the ball. Brady and Garcia are veterans and likely the best of the QBs throwing to your WR's Good luck. -
Gradkowski is too young and real terrible. I watched him underthrow Galloway on 2 sure TDs on Thanksgiving Day and that was the last straw. Even if Galloway gets open, its pure luck at this point that Gradkowski hits him for a long TD (or any TD). And TB can always try and run because Gradkowski stinks so much. Galloway is always feast or famine, and usually when I started him it was always....famine. Cutler is in the game to throw the ball. He is going to get better. Is Jeff Garcia available in your league? I am starting him, I am a former McNabb owner. I am starting Garcia over McNair.

T. Jones or Tikki ALSO Galloway, Caldwell, Jones or Clayton
Fonzie2004 replied to LLcoolJ's topic in A Little Help!
Caldwell Jones Galloway Clayton I also own both Galloway and Caldwell, and boy I am glad I started Caldwell last week. Gradkowski stinks. He'd under-throw Galloway even if he was wide open. The Raverns offense can't throw the ball more than 20 yards 1-2 times a game. Jones is working his way back into the offense and Indy is no good against the pass. Caldwell has Brady throwing to him. I tend to start my WR's by the QB's that have to get them the ball. As for RB - I would never bench Tiki. Never bench your studs. Hopefully you're in a performance league. -
Jacobs and Jones. Whenever the G-men even sniff the goal line, Jacobs gets the carries. I watched the Ravens game last week and I did't like the way Lewis looked (he seemed 2 steps slower than what I remember) and other postings on this board will also tell you to not trust the Ravens offense, especially against the Chiefs DEF. Jones was just featured on some FF TV show that I was watching as a "start" this week by some "expert". As for Lee Evans... well.. he still has Losman throwing to him. At least Garrard wins games and can throw more effectively as a result... Please see mine: http://www.fftodayforums.com/forum/index.p...howtopic=258170

I am starting FWP on my own team this week, I like the matchup vs the Browns. Please see mine: http://www.fftodayforums.com/forum/index.p...howtopic=258170 I think that I'd even stick with FWP instead of Ahman Green... beware a team the following week after it gets blown out... (like the Niners did this past week).

Kinda unusual, kinda sad question: Change kicker in must win?
Fonzie2004 replied to MBison's topic in A Little Help!
I am starting Wilkins on my own team this week without a 2nd thought. And I need the game to confirm a spot in the playoffs. Kickers are all unpredictable, which is why you should always draft them dead last. I drafted Wilkins with my very last pick and he ended up winning a couple of games for me this season... So you never know. Yes, over thinking things a little bit. I did the same thing when I didn't start Ronnie Brown vs the Bears a few weeks ago. -
I survived with Air McNair (whom I need to use after losing McNabb) last week... But this week...its for all the marbles, to get to the playoffs. There are no real options left on the waiver wire. Only Garcia or Cutler are left for the most part. Since Garcia had a career week last week, I am leering of getting sucked into the one-week hype and playing him, only to watch the Skins mount some sort of last stand as a spoiler against the Eagles.... Watching the Ravens offense last week gave me fits...their whole game plan doesn't even throw the ball downfield...even if things break perfect, it seems McNair would struggle to get 200 yds and a TD, and KC's defense is no slouch (notwithstanding last week's game against the Browns). What would you guys do? Please let me know. Thanks.

I'm sticking with McAllister on my own team. Reggie got 4 TDs but I still got 140 or so yards from Duece. Houston is actually listed as probable, so there is at least a small chance something may slow him down a little versus the Bills, and the Jets have other options at RB if he's not really 100%. I'll pass on Fason. My gut tells me to pass on that "matchup" vs Detriot. Can't trust any of the Vikes at this point.

I like both moves and I am considering making the same moves myself for the same reasons. Although I have McNair at OB (I was a McNabb owner) so I may stick with him this week, like last week. Definitely the Bengals DEF at home. Even if they're not for real againt two crappy offenses, the Raiders offense is still so bad, they won't be able to test the Bengals seriously anyway, especially on the road.
-
I think so. I picked up the Raiders DEF last week and I won a critical game because of that move. In fact, I am considering dropping the Raiders DEF this week in favor of the Bengals for the same reason as you...or perhaps picking up the Rams (home vs the Bears) again for the same reasons... I am sure both Defenses are available in nearly all leagues... Good luck
