As someone who bleeds black and gold and a season ticket holder (35+years and had twelve at one point) I earned the right to say”We”. I was there when the fawking were wearing bags on their heads. I kept thinking to myself, “On day we will hold the Lombardi. I had tickets for the Super Bowl 44 in Miami. A room paid for,, parties. The ultimate. And I passed. I didn’t want to jinx them.

I never saw one play on TV. I listened Ttt it on our local AM station WWL. The clock ticked to zero, and loud and proud a”WE did it!!!”

This comes up every couple of years it seems.  Sports teams represent the city or region from which they hail.  In many cases the locals helped pay for the stadiums the teams play at.  The teams have massive local outreach and charity programs.  IOW, the community is (literally) invested and takes pride in the team and as such refers to that team as their team.

Can we lock this thread now?

    Or... /thread

  4. Apparently, you all aren't season ticket holders.   You're definitely not part of Chiefs Kingdom.   You're not alumnus of a college or university with a strong athletic program.   You don't own t- shirts, collared shirts, sweaters, hoodies, jackets, coats, hats, etc of one particular team in any given sport and no apparel of any other teams in that sport.   You don't work your schedule around all athletic events in which your favorite team plays.   You haven't been following that same team for 40 years.   And you don't go to a number of games at home and sometimes even away of that same team. And you don't attend championship celebrations.

Because if you did all that, you wouldn't have to ask the question.

do you not realize I worked for years for a GOP Congressman?  You called someone out using the "n" word and the asterisks (******) made it evidently clear what you said.  Mike agreed cause he banhammered your ass.

NBA has become almost unwatchable. I like and follow MLB but even with the pitch clock, it is hard for me to watch any single game knowing there are 162 and unfortunately the pitch clock has ruined going to games, imo. When I go to an MLB game, I pick a nice day and I enjoy the slow pace of the game and drinking some beers in a fun atmosphere. When I went last season, the game was over so quick I barely had 3 beers and some nachos.

    and still spent $78.75
