A few observations from last night..... Kathleen McPhee seems to me to be seperating herself as the best singer. Paris is a very good singer as well as a great performer, in general. Her stage presence may be second only to Taylor Hicks. Chris Doughtry should jump on the chance to be Fuel's singer if those rumors are true. He obviously can only sing one way, and I think it is finally becoming apparent to the judges. Mandisa should not wear jeans.

Opie and Anthony were obsessed with Stern even back before they were fired on regular radio. I used to turn it off because it got so boring listening to the same thing. Stern paved the way for young "shock jocks" like O&A, and they're so bust trying to deny it that they sound pathetic and jealous in the process. However, by the same token, Stern spent a ton of time in the eighties doing the same thing to Don Imus. It must be a right of passage....Be the new guy. Learn from the old guy. Start your own thing. Bash the old guy.

There's only so much you can do that is brand new when you've been doing five hours of talk radio for twenty years. Opie and Anthony have made a living of ragging on Howard and telling chicks to "whip 'em out" Howard, Bubba the Love Sponge, ect. are all working with repeated material, but it's still good for a chuckle now and then. I don't think you're going to hear any new DJ's inventing the wheel anytime soon.

I admire any man who can remain consistantly funny despite the fact that his wife is obviously cheating on him. Salute!

I think this may hurt Smith's numbers a little. He'll still dominate games, because he's basically unstoppable, but he got a lot of short tosses inside the five last year. I'm afraid Keyshaun may get some of those this year.

While getting ready to give the final ok for this morning's edition, a crazy woman calls and starts complaining that the Bluebonnet's are going to bloom late this year, I try telling her that.......oh, crap! I think I forgot to log-out as Newbie and log back in as Rusty!
