She also told the sheriff’s office she was spraying a spider and explained that she is terrified of them.

Vanderburgh County Sheriff’s officials say they don’t buy it.

“I am not an arachnid expert but I do know, having been a southern Indiana resident for my entire life that spiders don’t crawl around in the winter time and the low that night was somewhere around 35 degrees. Any spider would be warm inside its shelter and would not be crawling around somebody’s doorstep,” Sheriff Robinson said.

because people are lazy.  If I order food, I order from somewhere convenient that is on the way home from other shiit I have to do. I'm not paying extra to have someone potentially fock with my food.  I never really imagined something like that video but I know people who have had items missing or the stuff arrives super late and cold. I don't need to waste time contacting the delivery service to get it corrected... and  I don't need blue haired Karen putting my food in her passenger seat where she diddled her girlfriend earlier that day.

Ditto. The only exception is pizza, and they (usually) have their own employees to handle delivery.

  3. Shouldn't have touched our boats.

Part of the problem is that most of WW2 history taught in out schools focuses on the Nazis, while Japan gets boiled down to Pearl Harbor and the nukes. The Japanese were absolutely brutal, with atrocities equaling or even surpassing the Nazis.

Giants rookie quarterback Jaxson Dart has seen a handful of snaps the last two weeks and that number is set to go up by a lot in Week 4.

According to multiple reports, the 0-3 Giants will start Dart against the Chargers at home this Sunday. Head coach Brian Daboll said on Monday that the team was working through all personnel decisions when asked if Dart or Russell Wilson would start this week.

I estimate the chances of that getting switched to a TD pass at exactly 0%

Sideways lateral and there won't be motivation to change it.

It's happened before. Everybody's got an interest in accurate stats since lots of players have bonuses tied statistical achievements.

Cowboys rookie running back Jaydon Blue made his preseason debut Friday night and scored his first touchdown.

But his night didn’t end the way he wanted it to end.

The Cowboys have ruled out Blue with an ankle injury.

It is the same right ankle/heel that he originally injured in an Aug. 7 training camp practice, according to the Cowboys broadcast. Blue only returned to practice Tuesday, missing almost two weeks.

Right tackle Kaleb McGary was carted off after suffering what appeared to be a lower left leg injury. The team said McGary will be having an MRI to assess the severity of the injury and that they will update his condition when there’s more information to share.

McGary has started 92 of the 93 games he’s played since the Falcons drafted him in the first round in 2019 and he signed a two-year extension with the team earlier this month.

With a lefthanded quarterback in Michael Penix, McGary occupies an important role as his blind side protector. The injury comes at a time when the Falcons are short on depth. Swing tackle Storm Norton has missed most of camp with a lower body injury and Elijah Wilkinson moved over from guard to replace McGary on Wednesday.

Another day, another Week 1 starting quarterback has been named.

According to NFL Media, Daniel Jones has gotten the nod over Anthony Richardson.

It’s a stunning move, given the investment the Colts made just two years ago in Richardson. He was the fourth overall pick in the 2023 draft.

Titans running back Tyjae Spears suffered an apparent high ankle sprain during Saturday night’s postseason game.

Spears was carted off the field and a high ankle sprain was the initial diagnosis, according to Turron Davenport of ESPN. Titans coach Brian Callahan said after the game that it’s too soon to say how much time Spears will miss.

“Further evaluation. We’ll see. Looks like it’s probably an ankle, we’ll see what the severity is as we evaluate it a little further,” Callahan said.

    Quote

Chargers left tackle Rashawn Slater was visibly upset while being carted off the field at practice on Thursday and the injury that knocked him out is as bad as Slater seemed to think it was at the time.

Shortly after multiple reports emerged that Slater tore his patellar tendon and would have further testing, the Chargers confirmed that Slater tore the tendon.

The team announced that Slater will have surgery and miss the entire 2025 season.

    Quote

Via Daniel Popper of TheAthletic.com, left tackle Rashawn Slater was carted off the field after going down midway through Thursday’s practice.

The injury is apparently to Slater’s left leg, as a player appeared to fall on it during an 11-on-11 drill. Slater was visibly upset after suffering the injury, throwing his helmet and slamming his hand on the cart as he was being helped off the field. Teammates came over to support the left tackle as he exited practice.

When Slater reached the team facility entrance, he was unable to put any weight on his left leg.

  12. Analysis of my team:

    QB:
    Josh Allen, Tua Tagovailoa

I thought I got great value on Allen and he's about as safe as you can get. I waited too long on my QB2, but I think Tua's a nice compliment. If he sucks/gets injured, Allen's safe. If he stays healthy and performs up to his talent, he's a nice matchup/bye week/best ball option.

    RB:
James Cook, TreVeyon Henderson, Brian Robinson Jr., Tank Bigsby, Dylan Sampson

A weakness of my team. I'm fine with all of who I picked given how the mock fell, but this just isn't as strong as a group of RBs as I prefer. Bigsby I think deserves better than being the third drafted RB on his team, and Sampson I expect his ADP to rise as the Judkins situation continues to unfold.

    WR:
Malik Nabers, Brian Thomas, Xavier Worthy, Jerry Jeudy, Michael Pittman, Xavier Legette

The strength of my team. I wouldn't be shocked if Thomas regresses some, but should still be a great WR2. Worthy really came on at the end of the season, hopefully he continues to progress. Jeudy is a safer high volume scorer who proved he can produce with inferior talent at QB. Pittman produced in 2021-2023 despite horrible QB play, I'm putting his down year to being hurt. Legette is no longer the shiny new first round WR in Carolina, but if Young can continue to grow, maybe he'll find his niche and produce.

    TE:
    Tucker Kraft, Jonnu Smith

Another weakness of my team, but more easily covered up than RB. I'll hope that Kraft can find a weekly niche as a reliable target in the sea of bodies GB has at WR. TE is another position I waited too long to grab a backup, but he's a talent on a team with few receiving options.

    D/ST:
    Dallas

It's a defense that has produced in the past. Maybe if the offense gets its together (and Jerry gets his head out of his ass and gets Parsons signed and happy) they'll return to form.

As with the June Mock, I'm find I'm not thrilled with the 1/2 round turn this year, though I do love the 3/4 turn.
