Overall – so .. I guess BUF is happy with their offense?? First five picks all on the defensive side.. TE Hawes was apparently the best blocking TE in the class – but, don't they use Alexander as a 6th O/Lman / TE a ton?? Prather is yet another RZ option, at 6'3”, and he has some speed. Needs to work on his hips / fluidity, apparently.

Overall – I like it. I think Carter has M. Parsons comparisons! I'll take Daboll's word / opinion of Dart as the QB2 being drafted. Alexander is a run-plugging DT w/ pass rush upside. I like Mbow as an OG. And, Fidone should see snaps as long as he's healthy. Black has a ton of speed, and could be good if he can work on zone defense.

Egbuka was highly regarded. Might be the GM doing the old "draft the best player available, regardless of position." ALSO: neither of TB's starting-2 WRs are .. spring chickens.

I could see it. IF the GM and HC think they got a WR1 and DB1 in that one player. One .. write-up that I saw, identified him as being that; I guess he has really "fluid" hips.

Feels like an Al Davis type pick.
Uh .. NYG S. Barkley at #2 overall?!

CLE finally realizes how effed it is, from trading for QB D. Watson. Props to the GM for .. reloading the cupboard (with extra picks).

Well .. they did give a Rookie QB his first start in that game. Thing is: they played BUF who had nothing to play for. AND - being in the same division, BUF benefited by losing / so that NE couldn't significantly better its roster by losing and getting the overall #1 pick.

Wow.. First time (ever??) I've turned off the Super Bowl at halftime.. This game is OVER!

(Adam) Arch(uleta) was talking about ALL the doom-and-gloom IN HOU two years ago, when it lost the #1 seed to CAR by winning. "Instead," they got CJ Stroud.
Also: NE was #3 last year, and got Maye.
The Pats got a really good look at the Rookie QB from TEN, and he looked good. Brissett is likely gone next season.

Mayo has got to go. Not enough to use Van Pelt as the sacrificial lamb — this team blows all the way around
Worms - I live near Boston. Check out this post-game gem from the local paper / website:
Arguably the worst season the Patriots have had in decades will come to an end a week from Sunday. If Saturday’s game is going to be used to determine anyone’s future in New England, then just about no one made a good case for why they should remain with the Patriots. The team was a mess on all fronts throughout the game, leading to further questioning about the whole operation.

Uh - QB1 - OUT; RB1 - OUT; WR1 - OUT; TE1 - OUT. Not an atypical matchup / opponent!

I think his X-head-X LACK OF BODY MASS, AS A RB, made him expendable. FTFY.

So .. I thought I had a decent team. Drafted SF RB2 J. Mason late, which paid off, early on. Had King Henry in Round 1. ARI RB J. Conner my RB2. WAS RB B-Rob a mid-round pick. Round 4 was C. Kupp. DAL's KCR (changed to LAC's KCR when Dak went down). I finished out of the FF playoffs.
I took a look at my draft, and I did try and draft Saquon in Rd 2, but I didn't realize a quirk in the system, and instead went with SF WR D. Samuel. I did a "what if" analysis, and did Saquon in Rd 2, and M. Evans in Rd 3. Basically, no impact??
I just had time, and did some more digging. Oh ..; out of 14 weeks, 9 times I played a Top-6 scoring team; 10 times a Top-7. I checked out Points Against, and I was .. 4th worst. THERE IT IS!! F&$% the FF scheduling God!!
-
Guru! Looks like you're working on responses. I've got another one for ya. Full-point PPR. My current TE1 is H. Henry, @ ARI. He's been the only .. steady pass-catcher for NE this year. I also picked up BUF TE1 D. Kinkaid, who will be in a shoot-out @ DET. And, I have NO TE1 J. Johnson, but he's with a significant downgrade at QB this week, vs. WAS.
Stay with Hunter?
-
Full-point PPR league. WR1 is C. Kupp; WR2 is J. Jennings. Current WR3 is M. Nabers. I also have: WR4 B. Thomas, and WR4 = M. Harrison (Jr.). My .. last / bottom-3 all have .. QB issues. Nabers has DeVito throwing behind a horrid O/L. Thomas has "pop-gun" Jones TRYING to throw the long ball. And, Harrison's QB loves throwing solely to his TE..
Stay with Nabers, or switch out to one of the other WRs? (My top-2 will play Thursday night, and will be "locked-in")
-
Grateful: FU to my league commissioner for d!cking with the waiver wire rules this year. Despite never picking anyone up, every week I'm last in the order. Apparently he set it to highest points always goes last, and is too dumb to figure out how to fix it.
This isn't that out of the ordinary. Or, it didn't use to be. THAT was the default for FF Leagues, a number of years ago. "Worst-to-first." Your league should REALLY go to FAAB. That way, in theory, any owner can get any player - as long as they're willing to use their credits for him.

Full-point PPR. WR1 is C. Kupp. I'm currently rolling with CAR WR1 A. Thielen as my WR2, vs. Philadelphia. My RBs and TEs suck, so I'm gonna FLEX a WR. I'm currently rolling with BUF WR1 K. Shakir vs. LAC. So .. yeah .. I'm benching my 2nd round pick, Deebo Samuel, who is playing against a top-2 CHI pass defense. Also, I read he is the WR45 (!) this year. And, he hasn't had more than 21 yards the past three games?? Sadly, bench-worthy..
Thoughts?
-
Full-point PPR. RB1 = J. Conner. I'm currently rolling with McCormick. The Interim HC is a fan. RB2 Z. White is OUT, and RB1 A. Mattison is on a bad ankle. I grabbed LAC RB3 Vidal last week, when Dobbins went down. But, he didn't do much.. This week, I grabbed CHI RB3 T. Homer mid-week, when I saw that both CHI RBs are banged up. CHI RB2 R-Jo is OUT. RB1 D. Swift is hobbled on a bad quad.
Thoughts?
-
I currently am rolling with Purdy .. but CHI's pass defense scares me. Many sites with start 'em guidance are recommending stay-away from Jennings and Deebo. Meanwhile, Levis has a cup-cake matchup vs. the 2nd worst pass defense, Jacksonville.
Switch out to Levis?
-
weepaws: perhaps he has a player coming back / off-of IR, and needs a roster spot.
-
I think he's .. 37? He had a GREAT run. Top-2 KCR with Adam Vinatieri.
Will be interesting to see who BAL brings in to try out this week.

Overall – GM Wolf finally addressed the O/L! RB Henderson I think is a top-4 pass blocking RB. WR Williams will test defenses deep. Swinson looks like a good 3rd-down specialist. First team to take a KCR / likely got the best one.
