Dak. I'm also rolling with him over Nix, FWIW.
-
I have Pearsall, and am planning on FLEXing him. FWIW, JAX WR1 B. Thomas had BETTER statistics with Jones than with Lawrence.
-
Yeah .. I thought about that transaction more than at WR.. If NO had someone better at QB, I'd have probably gone that route. Also, Fannin apparently lines up everywhere; Njoku and he are not "exclusive."
-
So .. I thought I'd create new series of weekly threads. I'll do one each week, to see what peeps are doing regarding free-agent / waiver-wire (WW) requests. Thankfully, for week 1, I'll just be bettering my bench – no injuries! (I'm looking at YOU, George Kittle!) Upgrade 1, at WR: I'm near Boston, and watched the LVR @ NE game. Ugh.. I drafted WR D. Douglas as a “PPR cheat code,” and his stat line was 2, -2, TD. Hence, I'm going to try and upgrade to K. Boutte, also on NE. My fall-back is LAC's RZ option, WR Q. Johnson. Upgrade 2, at TE: I drafted HOU TE Schultz as my TE, because of how beat up HOU's WR room is. Again – ugh ..; he was out-snapped by Cade Stover?? So, I'm going to try and upgrade to CLE TE2 H. Fannin. Everything that I read is that he's a .. pocket-knife. Lines up all over the formation. My fall-back is NO TE1 J. Johnson (possible first option .. but I like Flacco as the better QB). What are others doing for Week 1 WW activity?
-
Where's the love?? 50 views, and no responses? There have to be other Nix owners who are considering their QB2s this week..
-
I watched the TNF game, and Dak looked GOOD. I did NOT watch the Denver game .. but Nix's stats were AWFUL.. Historically, Dak has "lit up" the G-Men for 400 yards and FIVE TDs! Also: the G-Men's offense last week was .. offensive. They couldn't get ANYTHING going. So, DAL should have the ball a ton.
-
AT LEAST 2 or 3 times, he used the term "coverage sack." BUT - in each instance, Green Bay's defense did NOT sack DET QB J. Goff?? What he SHOUD HAVE said was something like "GB's secondary is blanketing the DET WRs.."
-
0MFG.. That had to be one of the worst called games I've ever seen. NEITHER ONE could verbalize "sixth overall pick" nor "sixth round pick" accurately. Calling out the wrong names of players, post play call. Etc.

Tank Bigsby or Matthew Golden in the Flex?
Bills04 replied to drunkenmiester's topic in A Little Help!
I'd wait at least a week to see who gets the carries in JAX. So - Golden. -
Update 1: websites I use for Player Rankings are available. Across the board, peeps favor Nix, with Dak right at the QB1/2 borderline. I just took a look at DAL QB's / Cooper's stats from last year, and they were HORRIFIC.. Yeah, I know Dak is markedly better .. but now PHI's defensive players are in year 2 of the DC's system, and will more be reacting, vs. thinking and then reacting. Also, DAL has no semblance of a run game. Still likely rollin' with Nix.
-
I usually take a look at each team's pass rankings, and player's historical performances, when setting line-ups. The latter is .. seldom existant, with Nix being a Year 2 player. Both DEN and DAL go up against Top-2 defenses vs. the pass. Dallas has a higher team pass rating than DEN - but, Nix does use his legs. So - historically, Dak has QB1 weeks vs. PHI. He passes for 300 to 400 yards against the Eagles, with 2 to 3 TDs. Dak has a VERY viable WR2 this season, in Pickens, too. So .. go with my QB2 / Dak in Week 1? Or go with Bo Nix, who should see a lot of offensive snaps, if DEN's defense holds TEN to a ton of 3-and-outs? Leave YOUR link / concerns with Week 1 lineups; I reply!

I saw this USA Today article. Some good ones I might use are below: The 250 best fantasy football team names for 2025 Here Comes McBride Conner Artist McBrides Maids Baby Dak Ribs Dak to the Future The Dakstreet Boys Hot to Bo Nix-elodeon Sutton for Punishment Courtland's in Session Orange Pony Club Barkley and the Beast A Bar-kley Song Oh Saquon You See The Field Goal Factory

White: McBride slid to the 3rd round (3.02); a guy took CIN QB Burrow in the 2nd. Next RBs taken after Conner: Cook, Chase B., and Kamara. WRs after Sutton: DK Metcalf, Flowers, and Jameson W. Fields can't hit the side of a barn.. Not interested! SF's WR room is a mess / triage room. So is TB's. I actually think Palmer could be Diggs-esque in BUF. Again, who else is there?? Yeah - W-Rob and Douglas are pure PPR cheat codes.. The guy at 1.03 sniped both Benson and Shipley on me.. I suppose I'm putting a lot of faith in RBs drafted this Spring, vs. the (remaining) veterans on the teams. It worked out for JCM; I'll see for the other two. ALSO: there are ALWAYS in-season injuries, and WW FA pickups to consider! Thanks for the feedback.
-
So .. I was NOT able to finish up my "cheat sheet" before my Draft was held tonight. I got through .. my top 23 RBs, and .. the same # for my WRs. I was able to do: QBs, TEs, DEFs and KCRs. 12-team serpentine draft, full-point PPR: QB1 B. Nix QB2 D. Prescott RB1 S. Barkely RB2 J. Conner RB3 J. Croskey RB4 B. Tuten RB5 D. Sampson WR1 C. Sutton WR2 R. Pearsall WR3 E. Egbuka WR4 W-Rob WR5 D. Douglas WR6 J. Palmer TE1 T. McBride TE2 D. Schultz DEF1 DEN KCR1 DAL

Bruised on (at the latest) 7/8, and don't report it until 7/12?? As Better Bachelor / Joker's button on YT goes, "Hold up .. wait a minute .. somthin' just ain't right.." -
Overall – GM Wolf finally addressed the O/L! RB Henderson I think is a top-4 pass blocking RB. WR Williams will test defenses deep. Swinson looks like a good 3rd-down specialist. First team to take a KCR / likely got the best one. 1.04 OL Will Campbell Louisiana State 2.06 RB TreVeyon Henderson Ohio State 3.05 WR Kyle Williams Washington State 3.31 OL Jared Wilson Georgia from Chiefs 4.04 DB Craig Woodson California 4.35 DL Joshua Farmer Florida State from Seahawks; compensatory selection 5.08 DL Bradyn Swinson Louisiana State from Panthers 6.06 K Andres Borregales Miami from Jaguars, Lions 7.04 OL Marcus Bryant Missouri 7.35 OL Julian Ashby Vanderbilt from Chiefs; compensatory selection 7.41 DB Kobee Minor Memphis from Chiefs; compensatory selection
-
Overall – so .. I guess BUF is happy with their offense?? First five picks all on the defensive side.. TE Hawes was apparently the best blocking TE in the class – but, don't they use Alexander as a 6th O/Lman / TE a ton?? Prather is yet another RZ option, at 6'3”, and he has some speed. Needs to work on his hips / fluidity, apparently. 1.30 DB Maxwell Hairston Kentucky 2.09 DL T.J. Sanders South Carolina from Bears 3.08 DL Landon Jackson Arkansas from Bears 4.07 DL Deone Walker Kentucky from Bears, Bills, Bears 5.34 DB Jordan Hancock Ohio State from Cowboys; compensatory selection 5.37 TE Jackson Hawes Georgia Tech compensatory selection 6.01 DB Dorian Strong Virginia Tech from Giants 6.30 OL Chase Lundt Connecticut 7.24 WR Kaden Prather Maryland from Vikings, Browns, Bears
-
Overall – I like it. I think Carter has M. Parsons comparisons! I'll take Daboll's word / opinion of Dart as the QB2 being drafted. Alexander is a run-plugging DT w/ pass rush upside. I like Mbow as an OG. And, Fidone should see snaps as long as he's healthy. Black has a ton of speed, and could be good if he can work on zone defense. 1.03 DL Abdul Carter Penn State 1.25 QB Jaxson Dart Mississippi from Texans 3.01 DL Darius Alexander Toledo 4.03 RB Cam Skattebo Arizona State 5.18 OL Marcus Mbow Purdue from Seahawks 7.03 TE Thomas Fidone II Nebraska 7.30 DB Korie Black Oklahoma State from Bills

Egbuka was highly regarded. Might be the GM doing the old "draft the best player available, regardless of position." ALSO: neither of TB's starting-2 WRs are .. spring chickens.
-
I could see it. IF the GM and HC think they got a WR1 and DB1 in that one player. One .. write-up that I saw, identified him as being that; I guess he has really "fluid" hips.
-
Uh .. NYG S. Barkley at #2 overall?!
-
CLE finally realizes how effed it is, from trading for QB D. Watson. Props to the GM for .. reloading the cupboard (with extra picks).
-
Told ya!
-
Well .. they did give a Rookie QB his first start in that game. Thing is: they played BUF who had nothing to play for. AND - being in the same division, BUF benefited by losing / so that NE couldn't significantly better its roster by losing and getting the overall #1 pick.
