This is true. And, Lamar just doesn’t seem to be on the same level as Allen, Mahomes, Herbert, etc. etc. he just isn’t. So, tying up an enormous amount of money on him doesn’t make a lot of sense. This is all pretty obvious.

Unless their defense grabs a bunch of turnovers for the offense as they have in the last two games, there is no way the Bucs can keep up with KC. No way at all. Brady has made some throws but has also looked every bit 43 years old and slightly spent as well. Again, he was handed several super short fields and that’s great he took advantage but anyone watching sees that’s it’s the opportunistic Bucs D that won these last two games. The Bucs receivers are very streaky and have slippery hands too. That won’t win a super bowl. The Bucs chances to win lie totally with the defense here. That’s how they’ll win. I think the chances are small though and I see KC repeating. I think the AFC is simply superior overall this year. No NFC team I watched in the playoffs looked that scary, win or lose.

Those weren’t legit penalties at all. What game were you watching? The chiefs still deserved to lose but not like that. Oh and the game became unwatchable at that point too since it was clearly over so we didn’t even get a good game out of it. Seems to me like TB defenders were draped all over GB players a few weeks ago and most people were happy to "let them play". I was too. That changed in the first half of the game I watched. That’s all.

It’s just data. Look, it’s pretty obvious that the MVP first should be defensive holding and pass interference. That started the avalanche early. That interception callback was game changing. The fairytale defensive PI call in the end zone was also a game changer. There were easily 3-4 of those that simply had too much effect on the game. Every TB eh hem "drive" in the first half was handed to them. They gained very few yards. Whatever. By the second half, yeah, they took over but by then the extreme damage had been done. After what we saw two weeks ago where they were letting them actually play....I found it quite abhorrent that they went into flag mode for the biggest game of the year and ruined it. It didn’t matter that Tampa won. It mattered how they won and how it was given to them. That’s all. Terrible game and terrible super bowl. Period.

Competent meaning obviously proven players like the ones you mentioned but I’d also throw in Josh Allen, Rivers, Big Ben, Brees maybe a few others too. I hear ya though on running the offense and perhaps that an area where Toms veteran status helps him. Either way, the Bucs are an interesting team for sure. Not sure if they can keep up with KC right now though who seem to have numerous way to kill you.

As much as Rodgers looked iffy this game isn’t also fair to say that Brady also did his part to facilitate a big comeback by GB? Three bad picks in the second half? Bad throws. Just bad. What about that? IMO, neither QB looked all world to me and their age showed. Tampa is going to the SB mostly because of their defense and suspect competition. It does....but that’s because he never even had a concussion. He had the equivalent of a neck stinger which mimics some symptoms of a concussion. It was clear as day on the play this happened that his head was twisted rather harshly but did NOT get struck hard or hit the ground hard which is required to get a concussion. Either way, he’s playing and that’s a damned good thing. The Bills are legit and have a chance for sure but I say KC a is still too tough. Chiefs 34, Bills 27.

The NFL did their best to pimp this up as a matchup of fabulous QBs and while both are instant HOFers they both look tired, old, somewhat disinterested and aren’t making the throws they need to. They both appear "slow" and I don’t mean scrambling wise. At this stage, Rodgers looks infinitely better and more fresh.

Yes they are. The Bills are a serious contender but KC is top dawg right now. Even when they turn the ball over or screw up it still hardly seems to matter. They just score. A lot. I do think that KCs defense is pretty average but the Bills defense is also lacking. They seem to let other teams just stroll back into games and make it more interesting than it had to be. Bills have no pass rush at all. That being said, Allen is playing as good as ANY QB right now so that’s a big plus. Oh and both KC and Buffalo need to win the games they are playing first and we know that anything can happen in the playoffs.

Yep. Look at the Bills who went through the same QB hell for so many years. Now, they got a "guy". Amazingly they are a top team and very competitive. The Bears are going nowhere fast with Trubisky, Foles, or any of these other names I’m reading on this thread. Defense does NOT win championships, especially in this day and age. Ya gotta score to win and that means you need a strong QB. No other way to do it. Forget the "Trent Dilfer system" from 20+ years ago.

He doesn’t stink, he and his ex coach are simply being exposed as a tad over rated and the beneficiaries of a lot of great players around them who get no credit, great coaching staffs who also get no credit and some of the eh hem " shady" tactics they’ve e deployed over the last 20 years are no longer available. Oh and the AFC East is actually competitive now versus being 6 automatic wins every year. This just in: football is a team sport and no single player has ever won anything by themselves and never will. Nor has a coach ever won anything just with scheming or being clever. There are QBs in their prime I’d take over Brady in his prime and the list is longer than you think. But I "get it". . I don’t use SB tally’s as the end all and nor does anyone else that understands the game.
