12 team league, currently made up of 7 core owners who have played in redraft/keeper formats for the last 5-6 years together. We are looking to make the jump to an auction-style, dynasty league. I am a very well organized and experienced commissioner who has around 18 years of running various leagues. We are excited about the new challenge and committed to this new format. We are looking to fill out our league. Here's some information, and the sales pitch: This is a very exciting time, as each owner will be responsible for building a team from the ground up. This is quite the task, and needs to be considered before joining. Along with selecting your team through an auction process (fake money talks), you will need to manage a salary cap, year round roster, and while keeping the short term and long term of your franchise in mind. The name of the game remains winning games during the regular season and playoffs. I believe Forte is overvalued. I believe I am in the minority. I don't believe he has elite talent, which should be the reason he is being drafted so high. I believe he is a safe option. On his best day, he couldn't carry AD, Westy, LT, Portis, S-Jax, and a handful of other guys jocks. One year skews his value. Good luck drafting him top 5. he won't lose you a championship, but he won't carry your team. just my take.

The Pro Bowlers excitement seem to be the perception. The Owner/Salesmen wants attention for his team. The Owner/GM wants wins for his team. Lots of "internal" roles facing conflict. I believe he is the only Owner/GM in the entire league. It's not a normal situation, but the Cowboys are a very well run organization. The only problem I see on the football side...the business side drives it more than any other team in the league. Jerry knows the ultimate money maker is winning. He stroked his ego with T.O. and Pac, now we can all just enjoy the new stadium without any distractions from T.O..

3 super bowls, you can't take that away. He mortgaged himself to buy the Cowboys. He fired 2 icons in Dallas(Landry, Schramm), and at the time he was killed for this. Took a big chance on Jimmy Johnson, and it paid off. Saying that, he continues to take chances. He's a great owner, average GM, and a godsend to the media. I'm a Cowboys fan, and would not want another owner in the NFL. Saying that, his GM skills are a bit lacking in certain areas. I don't care how he spends his money, but the bidding against himself is silly. He keeps it exciting, and does care about winning. He loves his personalities, and wants to be surrounded by talent. Because he wears so many hats, his roles in the organization tend to influence him. A dedicated GM would focus on different things besides the marketing of the team, selling PSL, and branding. The drafting has gotten much better around here, so he learned something from Parcells. Keep it going.

Westbrook misses games, LT played through injury all year(missed ZERO GAMES during the fantasy season), and Portis has ZERO help. Based on Age/Wear/Tear: 1. Portis - Consistent and a bit younger 2. LT played on a bum toe, and was consitent but unspectacular. Only 2 100 yard games. 3. Westbrook in my opinion is having leg surgeries every year, and twice some years. His knee is shot. Saying that, I believe all three could be just as productive as anyone outside of AD and Turner. Everyone else has no track record of production, so who do you trust? 12 team league, we are keeping 4 guys this year. I traded LT for 2 1st rounders/Thomas Jones...Turned around and traded Thomas Jones for a 2nd rounder. So in total , 2 first rounders/2nd rounder for LT...not bad.

Romo - he has put up numbers pretty consistently...trade rodgers for 4th and be happy.

Miss the Houston Oilers. Still have the memories. Bud Adams is a jerk, and it's a shame he took the team of my childhood away from my hometown. The bigger shame, Titans fans in Houston. Why would you support Bud Adams, when he took your hometown team away. It's moronic. The only Titan fans in Houston should be Tennessee transplants. This still amazes me...not sure you see a lot of Indy Colts fans in Baltimore. I love what Earl Campbell said, "I never played in Tennessee " Maybe Bud Adams can hang himself with his comb over, the fact that this jerk still lives in Houston, just bothers me.

In your situation given that you have LT and Barber, I would ask for more from you. After Peterson, the list of trustworthy RB's is pretty short that actually have a track record. You actually have a pretty enticing duo, depsite their 2008 finish. I'm in a Keep 4, and I own LT, Gore, AJ, Wayne...I inquired about AD. Draft picks would have to be supplemental, because in a keep 4...the draft starts in round 5. So picks don't add up. It would take a top 5 QB, RB, WR and my first pick. Saying that, I'm trying to add Brady so I can make an offer. Before the keeper deadline, I can have 8 players on my team. So I try and get AD, and still have a few players to surround him with...after I close a deal. Let's hope he is worth it

He seems like a tool. I think this opinion is a shared one. I remember hearing Tim Ryan on Sirius giving a laundry list of things that make him one. Any team that hires him will probably regret the decision, but he's probably well suited as coordinator/position coach. I just remember him as the Mickey D's Rat Salad guy.

Paid off a best buy bill, which was a new PC...before the interest kicked in. Using the 2nd league check to purchase 8 feet worth of cabinets for a kitchen. Pretty happy with my winnings this year.
