I'll never vote for Biden again as I don't agree with him doing this....but its great seeing MAGA panties all bunched up over it. OHHHHH YOU WERE SO CLOSE!!!!!!!!!
-
I don't know if he was OK with dropping out of the race.. As long as Joe Biden was politically viable, it was good optics to not pardon his son; particularly during an election year when the idea of him pardoning him could be framed as a potential abuse of Presidential power. That narrative held true through Harris' run. Once she lost, he probably said..... "!@#$ it....this will make my family more whole".
-
I think for 3 years and about 7 months he probably was telling the truth.

I disagree. There won't be a mass deportation.* I think if there's a perp walk of a good number of tattooed Mexican men to the border and several plane loads of Haitians being dropped off at Louverture Airport; that will be enough to listen to the "they're not all bad and we need some of them" narrative crafted by big donors in the MAGA Party as the weeks go on. Then we'll get a narrative of how we should go back to the Migrant Worker days to pick our crops to keep our costs down....which will be fine with most MAGA people. It's not particularly about those people staying, its about who is in control over as to whether or not we allow them to stay. * In the interests of being fair, some people will fall thru the cracks and there will be a number of photos and stories about families broken up and children dumped off at the border with noone to watch them. But there won't be many.

As a Centrist, I'm content with the results as I do believe America spoke. Obviously the candidate I wanted to win; didn't....but I'm not to cry foul or any of that other crap. It made you guys look like children after 2020....it will do the same for the Democrats if they're doing it now. I'm not really interested in rooting against the country either....and Trump is the country at the point. I hope everyone in this country is better off and happy in 4 years and I hope we still have good standing in the world. I don't know if that's going to happen, but rooting against the country before we see exactly what he's planning isn't a good look. That being said, if he screws up....I'll jump in with both feet.

Apparently. I'd imagine that the roving bands of looters and dirt bike meetups in Philly contributed to PHI shifting a point for him. Be interesting to see how much more he gained in the suburbs of PHI.

There were a total of 741,377 votes in PHI in 2020 - Biden 81.44% Trump 17.90% Jorgenson .65% With (Estimated) 95% of the votes counted out of Philadelphia in 2024 - Harris 78.88% Trump 20% Stein .9% Oliver .3% - Total Votes in 2020 - 741,377 Total Votes (Est. 95% so far) in 2024 - 719,755 So with almost 36,000(est) votes out there still to be counted....the total for PHI County in 2024 would be (approx) 755,742 So no real reduction in votes from PHI County..... Donald Trump did better and the there was more of a presences of a Third Party Candidate in 2024 compared to 2020. There was no "phantom" vote dumps....at least in PHI.

Very carefully, so the children don't realize it!!!!!!! All kidding aside, I would have thought that if Harris won, Biden would have come out a few months later and admitted to a neurological illness or being generally unfit. With Trump winning, I don't think we'll get that admission (if its true). But right now, he's probably upset Harris lost. -
1. He campaigned on it. He should do it. I don't think there will be nearly as many deportations as some think as Republican business leaders won't want to see their cheap labor go. 2. He campaigned on it. He should do it. 3. Alot of his voters like it. He doesn't have a plan for it. Low Priority. 4. He campaigned on it; but he also needs to figure out where money for SS will come. 5. He campaigned on it. He should do it.

Sure, things could actually be closer than they were in 2020....but like I said earlier; if VA is close around the D.C. area....it doesn't bode well for her in the other battlegrounds. Just a quick look at the various counties in the Battlegrounds from 2020 to 2024; she's polling just 1.5/2% behind almost uniformly. -

GA specifically - Stein has pulled 7K+ (6K more than the 2020 Green Candidate) Jorgenson(Libertarian) pulled 62K in 2020 - Oliver is up to about 9K with 50+% in......
