    14 Team Dynasty League Opening

Well the contract values were based on where they were drafted. When the draft is so heavy on RBs early, teams got stuck paying average RBs a lot.
  2. I have one opening in a second year dynasty/contract league. The league started last year with a start-up draft. This offseason we will have a free agent auction and rookie draft. The league fees are between $15 and $40. You have the option of paying anywhere between those two amounts. This arose because there were vast differences in opinions from the owner of how much we should the league fees at. The incentive to pay more is that you have the chance to win more. 3rd and 4th place get their money back. 2nd place gets twice their league fees back. 1st place gets whatever is left after the site fees are taken out. The league is run through FFLeagues.com. Not a major site, but I work directly with the league programmer and he tries to get all of my ideas worked into the league. Plus he doesn't charge much at all. The league is structured like this: 14 teams 2 divisions Division winners get first round byes, top 4 non-division-winners make the playoffs as Wild Cards. Start: 1 QB, 2 RB, 2 WR, 1 TE, 1 RB/WR/TE, 1 K Scoring: 0.1 pt/yard rushing or receiving 0.05 pt/yard passing 6 pts/rushing or receiving TD 4 pts/passing TD The rosters of the team you would be taking over with remaining years and cap number: QB Marc Bulger, 2 years @ $17.00 QB Jake Plummer, 1 year @ $13.00 RB Cadillac Williams, 3 years @ $38.00 RB Tatum Bell, 1 year @ $22.00 RB Mike Bell, 3 years @ $20.00 RB Maurice Hicks, 1 year @ $4.50 TE Ben Troupe, 1 year @ $8.00 WR Larry Fitzgerald, 4 years @ $30.00 WR Torry Holt, 2 years @ $26.00 WR Hank Baskett, 1 year @ $2.50 WR Roddy White, 2 years @ $5.00 PK Stephen Gostkowski, 2 years @ $1.00 Expiring Contracts: QB Mark Brunell, $1.00 RB Fred Taylor, $16.00 TE L.J. Smith, $12.00 WR Mike Furrey, $1.00 WR Eddie Kennison, $9.00 PK Jason Elam, $3.00 In the rookie draft you will be drafting 8th. I mention the expiring contracts because I do offer you a chance to try and keep one of those players by using the "franchise tag". This tag allows you to match offers for the player or get compensation. How it works (or at least I hope it will work this way). Say you want to make Fred Taylor your franchise player. He will still enter the free agent auction, however, his starting bid will be $5+ his salary last year, so $21. If no one bids on him, you keep him. If someone bids more than that minimum bid, you will have to the option of matching the offer. If you decline to match, you will be given a draft pick based on how high the bidding goes. Right now we are aiming for the free agent auctions to happen from June 18th to the end of the month. The auctions will be broken down into 4 sessions. The sessions will last 3 days each. There may or may not be a day inbetween each session. The auction will work "ebay-style", where there is live bidding and you put in your maximum bid. To be honest, there isn't a whole lot in this year's free agent class. Colston will be a FA, but I'm sure he'll be franchise tag. Otherwise, no gamebreaking type of players. The rookie draft will follow at the end of July. The team is competitive. The owner left the team because he was moving and getting a different job. The team is a little down because he invested too much into the Broncos RBs. However, the salary cap is very loose right now, so there should be no problem signing additional players and staying under the cap. The league also has a practice squad which contains the following players: RB PJ Daniels RB Cedric Humes WR Derek Hagen WR Roydell Williams These players do not count against the salary cap and you have their rights for one more year. You can freely move these players up to your active roster. However, you must release a player to move them from your active roster to your practice squad. It's a really good league. If you are interested, please email me at m_hines_84@yahoo.com . If you have any questions, please post them here feel free to email me. The league homepage is: http://www.ffleagues.com/ABS/ . Nothing special, but it does the job. The team that is open is the New York Hooligans.
