Really? If you're getting an advantage on trades, shouldn't you veto it? You would be ruining your league's competitive balance.

Can you make a case for reasons why keepers should be declared before the draft?
Pinto replied to gocolts's topic in FFToday Board
I didn't spend time reading all of the responses, however here are the reasons why I require keepers submitted one week before the draft: 1) It allows owners prepare as to who's off the table. 2) It saves a lot of time and hassle on draft day for me as the commish to have them already entered into our website, have them loaded on team's rosters, and have the forfeited draft pick(s) gone. Otherwise I'd be doing that on draft day, making everyone wait, and be at a disadvantage working while others are studying. 3) It allows owners make trades, especially with keepers, prior to the draft. I also require the keepers be submitted privately to me, where I submit mine first. That way they're released to everyone at the same time and is fair. -
Is the Lambs' offense still a mess? Won't they be playing from behind again this year? For that reason alone, I'd think you'd have to have AP and MJD ahead of SJax.

Philly radio host totally owns Dallas' Skip Bayless

Should that be a badge of honor for the stereotype of a Cowboy fan? -
TWO salary cap writeups from Chris Mortensen & Brad Kevedis...
Pinto replied to RoadLizard's topic in FFToday Board
I think that's a good start, however couldn't they merely cap x # of players on a team and have x # of players not under the cap, regardless of how they were obtained? What if a team took a non-draft player by FA or trade and developed them into a superstar? What about non-drafted, however training camp invite and make the team and later develop? -

Exactly, but you just proved our point about needing a cap. NE and Pit can be still great every year due to well-run organizations and Det can stink every year due to inept-run organization. If there was no cap, then you can just buy everyone where the decision making is less important. -
This made me laugh and I'm a Bears fan.

You simply don't get it. I'm not disputing the other teams improved. I'm not disputing that the Bears could be third after GB and Minny. I'm not disputing that all teams can have success with their improvements and schedules. I'm disputing the idiotic statement, "struggling for wins." That statement is implied for teams like the Lions and that the Bears are going to be terrible. GB and Minny could both sweep the Bears, which is unlikely, and the Bears still could easily have a seven win season, which isn't great, but not struggling. You're completely ignoring the fact that they have 12 other games. Their most likely outcome is an eight to ten win season, which may or may not be good for the playoffs. Personally, I think the Vikes take the division and the Bears and Pack battle for second and one or both may get playoff spots with their schedules.
-
Do the Bears play the Vikes and Pack for all 16 games? I was responding to your claim about the Bears "struggling to find wins." That is not related to whether the Pack or Vikes win more games and the division. Considering their improvement on a nine win season and an easier schedule, your claim is highly suspect.
-
Bears had a nine-win season last year and lost several games in the final minute. They improved this year. How will wins be hard to come by this year over last year when they now supposedly have the easiest NFL schedule?

Why would I need to dissect it? It's a pretty stupid statement to say Orton will be top-10 and that Cutler would be worse. It ranks up there with Tommy Maddox will throw for 5,000 yds. I've watched every game Orton has played. The guy is okay, would be a good QB2 or spot starter this year, but nothing more. People got too caught up in looking at the stats from last year without looking at their talent. There's a reason most of the Bears fans and media are ecstatic for the trade. Orton couldn't really throw the ball--he just managed the game and tried not to turn over the ball. Defenders didn't stack eight in the box against Cutler unlike they did against Forte, which is why the Bears' rushing wasn't good and Orton's passing sucked. Bottom line is that Orton will improve and Cutler might have a step down, however no way Orton will be better than Cutler and be a top 10 QB. That's almost Tommy Maddox material.

I hope there's an opening in my league so you can join.

Agreed on the CBS, however using an automated site saves a lot of time and energy, allows people to submit lineups and transactions every time, and keeps consistent outcomes. I use MFL and formerly Fanball, both half the price as CBS and I liked far better.

Wow, I never thought I'd see a fantasy football forum disappointed with The Rat being gone.

Will the Raiders be that desperate or is he delusional? http://sports.yahoo.com/nfl/blog/shutdown_...?urn=nfl,151410
