  1. You can yell and scream at me but i will explain. 12 man league ( 17 year league) Six Large unpaid balances $100 plus 1 small unpaid balance.

In the past we have had one or two teams that couldn't pay full balance but most times it was paid in full by now . So I sent out email and shutdown website letting everyone know what I'm doing. Good thing most of these guys weren't real friends anyway.

Ok , now yell at me.

Fyi, i'm commish and don't pay to play and I'm 7-5 with a playoff spot.

You don't pay. Now that is a douche commissioner. Those people should be glad to be rid of your no paying ass.

  2. I think the typical stat line for Thomas is 4-5 catches a game for about 40-50 yards and hopefully a td. He will have a couple much bigger games than that (already had one), but on the days where he doesn't score he's not much different than many other guys at the position. The fact that he has scored in every game bodes well for future red zone looks, but is also an unrealistic pace. And I say this as a Thomas owner. The bottom line is if he gives us 700 yards and 8 TD's I think we should all be pretty happy with that. If he does better than that it's just gravy.

You were guessing those would be his stats through week 6 right?

  3. Freeman=Cassel>>>>>>>>>>Ponder.

I live here, I see every snap, not sure how anyone can see it different. Cassel did things in one game that Ponder isn't capable of doing physically or mentally. Not saying Cassel is the next Johnny Unitas but at least he's decisive on his throws. Long term solution, probably not.

  4. Actually this adds a great dynamic.

A couple of years ago a guy just spammed out trades but never retracted them. So the guy he offered was playing well and my guy got hurt. So 5-6 weeks after the offer, I hit accept. He's like, "WTF is going on!!!" He realized what happened and said, "You got me, good one."

So it's a fun game to play.

  5. Elway deserves to be mentioned, but then quickly discounted.

    Marino does not warrant mention.

Drew Brees has to enter the conversation at this point and Rodgers will probably warrant mention in the next couple of years.

Pretty much no one would agree with that. 2 losing seasons in 16-17 years on teams that lacked talent on both sides of the ball. Held records that stood for decades. Was a top 3 QB for basically 10+ years. Dan would put up video game numbers in today's game just like Brees and Manning (and he put up video game numbers back when WR's could get mugged and QB's could actually be breathed on.)

  6. Half of Montana's teammates are HoF worthy. Marino didn't play with anyone that will even sniff the HoF or heck I can't think of many pro-bowlers either on his teams. Manning and Brady have both carried poor teams.

First tier: Marino, Montana, Manning, Brady (I only include modern day qbs).

Elway is a head scratcher for me: He was basically a poor QB for the better part of a decade (50/50 int to TD ratio between 83-94) yet people rave about this guy. He won championships once he got the best RB in the game. I'd take Favre over Elway in a heart beat. I watched him and never was very impressed. I know this is blasphemy but he's more Flacco than anything to me.

  7. Off the top of my head:

First ballot QBs: Marino, Favre, Manning, Brees, Brady.

First Ballot RB's: Faulk, Tomlinson, Peterson, Emmitt.

First Ballot WR's: Rice, Moss, Marvin, Calvin, TO.

Left off guys with only 2,3 really good years like Davis, Holmes. Edge James should have been on the list but darn injuries ruined his career,
