About Zone Blitz

  • Rank
    FF Rookie
  1. Been thinkin about trying it one of these weeks and with rudi on a bye I might give it a try. Alot of Risk involved but if they perform anything like last week I think that could set me up nicely.

    ***Official Vikings/Redskins thread***

That was a pretty nice first drive for the Viks. I wish I would have started Taylor too

    Any one worried about Bledsoe

I waited this year and took Bledsoe as my number 1 qb in like the 9th round. I was hoping he could put up consistant numbers with all the weapons he has. Yesterday he looked aweful, I understand he'll have bad games but geez of what I saw he didnt make to many good throws. Jac D is good but still he looked almost like a rookie in the pocket and even more statue like then normal. Hopefully it's just the whole week 1 thing were guys are still settling in etc

    Willie Parker or McGahee

I'd go with McGahee because I'm not sure FWP can be a guy that gets 20+ carries evey game. Last year Parker struggled at times and Cowher would bring in Bettis to grind out the tough yards. Sure Parker brings the home run threat almost every time he touches the ball but with the steelers running schemes I just find it hard to believe FWP can put up the numbers people are expecting out of him. I think he'll will be a 1200yrd 5-6 tds guy and a good 3rd rb. That being said I hope he does better then those number cause that would be huge for the Steelers chances of repetiting

    Rookie RBs

Bush Maroney Williams Addai White I guess bell could be in there somewhere but I never saw him play before and have only heard people talk. So I'm still kind of Skeptical, it doesnt hurt hes on the Broncos though with there system that turns 1,000 yrd rushes out of anyone they throw in there.

    WR's in rds 2&3

I had the six pick and drafted Rudi then made a trade that moved me back 2.9 and moved up to 3.2. I got Holt in the second then Moss in the third. I then grabbed Chestor Taylor in the 4th. I was pretty happy with the Rb,Wr,Wr strategy but I feel like i got pretty luck with the players that fell to me. I think this year the strategy is the way to go in a 10 team league because of the drop off in running backs. Especially since you have the first pick because when it comes back around to you in the second the rb's available probably won't have the value as a top wideout like Fitz, CJ, Holt, Harrison, TO etc.

    Middle rounds make your team

2003 was the 2,000 yard year 2004 Year after 2,000 yards so obviously his numbers were lower + injuries 2005 just got out of jail and probably wasn't %100 the whole year I think we can witness his numbers goin this year

    Alexander or Tomlinson?

I'd go LT but it's not like you can ruin your draft with this pick so like some other people said flip a coin.

Who is the best team in the NFL?

    Pittsburgh Stiller

    Chester Taylor

I got Taylor at 4.4 and was pretty happy. I was impressed when they played the steelers I thought he put together some nice runs. I'm not sure hes stats for the game but I think he will have a nice season. I hoping something like 1100 and mayb 7-9 tds. I did take Dillon/Maroney because I have some doubts but I'm high on Taylor.

    Randy Moss

Just Had my draft yesterday and was able to grab Moss in the 3rd. Boldin was already gone but i passed on Reggie Wayne. I always thought that Moss was the best Wr in the NFL and if he can stay healthy i'm expecting good numbers.

2006 Geek Consenus Rankings- Final Results

Thanks Fumbleweed thats alot of work and a good reference for everyones draft
  14. I think you should take SJax, Everythings pointing to him having a breakout season and should be able to build a team around him as a keeper. Then like some other people said Keep dillion and try to handcuff him with Maroney and then try to get a stud wr in the second. I would like that team especially since you got a good deal on buying the team
