Interesting stat from this weeks Browns' game: Chubb and Hunt were on the field together for 43% of The offensive snaps. Expect a lot more of that going forward. Hunt is essentially now the Browns #3 receiver...

Yeah, didn't read this whole thread so not sure if anyone has cited this scenario, where you basically will see something similar to GB w/Jones/Williams (not necessarily in the shared snaps but in production) where Chubb is still a RB1 and Hunt a solid flex option.

  2. I was defending my pick of him early on, when he was performing as top 5-8 RB depending on scoring, but wow.  Just been awful and this news from Kingsbury sounds like at best a RBBC at worst Drake could be lead back:

    https://www.espn.com/nfl/story/_/id/28059999/cardinals-benched-david-johnson-keep-kenyan-drake-rolling-kliff-kingsbury-says

At this point I would just want him sat till after the bye and see if he can get back to some semblance of his old self for the stretch/playoff run.  Not holding my breath.

that's good.  don't want him rushing out there and hurting himself again.  as long as i have him fully healthy by week 25 i'm happy

Cincy does have it's second bye week 24, so week 25 is a good call.

Wow tough situation for that young man.

I guess if Parker is still available in any ones league pick him up.

I'd agree with this as Fitz has the offense at least somewhat productive.  Phins avg'ing 16pts a game with Fitz at helm.  I know that doesn't sound like a lot but they were avg'ing 6pts per game w/Rosen.

  5. Yes it's hard to discount BBs coaching schemes, but look at who the Pats have beat: Roth, Rosen, Falk, Allen, Keenum, Jones, Darnold, Mayfield.

Not exactly the best field of QBs there (ok, Roth but was he healthy?

And look at Redskins since Gruden firing and Callahan took over. giving up avg of 14.6 pts.  Before that they were giving up 30.2 per game.  I'm not saying the Skins are good, but Gru had lost the locker room and was going thru the motions.  Callahan has them at least playing better.

WTS, I'd go Stafford.  The team came into season wanting to run ball more but they just can't do it consistently and knw mired in RBBC w/no real solid options back there. So back to Stafford slinging it over the field v a Raiders squad susceptible in the secondary, esp to the big play.

You guys thinking that Green doesn't make it back in week 10?

Seems he would bleed those guys dry, if healthy.

Way season is going I don't think him seeing the field is a priority for him/bengals, may be pushed back indefinitely.

Even if he is to play week10, they'll maybe try to force feed him but he hasn't played live ball in how long now?  Could take a few weeks for him to even get up to speed and/or be relegated to decoy duty.

I was thinking more along the lines of FunyunsI

I'm more of a hot fries or cheeto's flamin' hot limon guy myself.

To the topic, I'll say I'm not saying any of these guys are going to be studs at this point, but could be solid flex options 2nd half of FF season...

Williams actually think a decent call esp since he's top 30 in targets, if that continues, as you say SW, something's got to give w/the TDs stats wise.

Christian Kirk: 34th in targets despite missing 3 games, already back in mix with targets/recs since being back

Bengals WRs (Tate/Boyd/Erickson): Could be nothing but with the change in QB who knows.  Esp Tate who is getting a monster amount of targets but his catch percentage is low.  I haven't watched many Cincy games but is that him not catching balls or Dalton's inability to get catchables to him?

Gallup: b/c coming off a bye, could be sneaky to get him as he flies under radar, and could continue to develop in his role in the offense.

  8. Overall MVP candidates: McCaffrey,  Cook, A.Jones, Watson, Wilson, Lamar, Pats DOther?

Best value pick ('Breakout'): Lamar, Ryan, Dak, A.Jones, Ingram, Godwin, Pats D, Other?

Worst value pick ('Bust'):  Mahomes, Kamara, Barkley, Dam.Williams, Mixon, Hopkins, Juju, Other?

Best waiver pick up: Minshew, Chark, Mclaurin, Other?

So who would be your candidates for each award overall and/or your own team?

  9. Yeah OT, there is a point about 'doing your own research and not buying into the hype', but overshadowed by 'look how right I was'.

Plus cherry picking just the misses...

Lamar, Murray, AJones, Chubb, Henry, Fournette, Godwin, Amari, Waller...names that were hyped on board and have performed good to great.

    Examples of hype 'hits'.

To your point have to be able to sift thru the hype and do your own research as well.

But even then as has been said, we all hit and miss, none of us gets it all right.  The board in general is just a community of us hitting and missing.

All about maximizing the former and minimizing the latter.

  10. He has a 2.3ypc, including Bolts feeding him early/often first half of last game for 32yds on 16carries.  Plus not nearly as involved in the passing game as previous years, which increased his value. Snap count wise, first game back Gordon 46, Ekeler 32. Second game G 37, E 28, then  last game Ekeler actually out-snapped Gordon: G 34, E 38.

If anything Ekeler may be a buy low (though maybe if he has a quiet game v Chi since he's coming of solid game in Ten) as conventional wisdom may be that he will take a back seat to Gordon, but above supports otherwise.

  11. It could be that there is something they are concerned with long term, but II honestly think they wanted to/would like to sit DJ for a week or two to get him healthy, not necessarily anything for an extended time.

But then they looked around and said 'damn, but we pretty much only have Edmonds'.  So that's why the signings.  Would expect them to indeed sit DJ to ideally return healthy in a few weeks.

    Ah the joys of FF.

  12. Does this help or hurt Sanders?

Garappolo does have 90 passer rating on season but avg'ing just 219yds/1.2tds per game.  And 7tds v 6 ints.

I realize idea is he will help those numbers by being a viable option, but still seem them being the same def minded/run the ball team.  Don't seem them playing from behind that often either. And I'm personally not sold on Garoppolo.

It does. I just don't second guess the Pats anymore. They just keep winning and winning.

    This.

I'm local to SF bay area, I remember when Warriors hired Kerr it was a high amount.  I remember when Gruden went to Bucs back in the day, thought they paid a lot.

Pats have been in 4 of 5 last SBs (including last 3), winning 3 of them.  When you win, paying 'high' prices doesn't matter as much.

in this site, I've come to realize, that even if Aaron Jones were to finish as a top 5 RB,  he'd still be considered a "Solid #2 Rb".   I'm moving on.

CF, kind of just giving you a hard time, but my own pt is he def has been performing as a top5 back, I just think over the rest of season, you'll see more of a RBBC and he'll still perform well, but well as in a RB2.  He did get majority of touches over Williams, but next game or game after that? Even this game Williams 'stole' 9pts or so from him with the TD and rec yds, keeping Jones from really big day.  We'll see.  But I hear ya and yes, moving on as well. Good luck moving forward!
