  1. DeAngelo Williams has missed 3 games in 3 years in the NFL. He has played in 45/48 games. Doesn't seem too risky to me.
  2. Take him. When was the last time a RB scored 20+ TDs and wasn't a top 3 pick the next year? Consider yourself lucky here

    MJD v. Forte v. Turner

I believe they overachieved in '08. '09 wont' be a bad year, but I just don't anticipate Atlanta winning 11 games again. Winning 11 games in consecutive years is very difficult in the NFL and I don't see the Falcons as being strong enough to do that.

    Was this a steal?

I know Gore has a ton of talent. I owned him in 06. The problem is his ypc has gone down 1.2 yards since 06. I don't see how they have improved or why his ypc will increase.

    Was this a steal?

Gore in the 6th baffles me. I do not understand the hype for Gore. Yes, I loved him 3 years ago but he has really failed to live up to that 2006 season. He gets a lot of receptions for ppr, but the last 2 years have been just alright and I don't see why thats going to change. I put him around 1400 yards and 7 TDs. if its not ppr, he's a back end #1RB or high end #2 RB.

    MJD v. Forte v. Turner

I'm not saying Turner will be hurt, but the Falcons have gone on record saying they plan to reduce his number of carries. They believe that a second year with 370 carries will wear down Turner and negatively impact his performance in the playoffs and future seasons. I think Turner's carries are closer to 300 this year. I dont see a big change in ypc so that puts him around 1350 yards. I also think the Falcons are going to slip a bit and I think Turner's TD numbers are going to come down to earth- 10-13 range. That puts him around 213 FF points which would have made him a back end RB1 last year.

    MJD v. Forte v. Turner

For me, Turner has the most risk because of his huge workload last year. He needs a lot of carries to produce like he did last year and I have some doubts that it will happen. MJD has the most potential. He could have a Deangelo Williams type year. Forte is the safest, but also the lowest ceiling for me. I don't see him doing much more than he did last year, but I don't see him doing much worse either. He's going to get a lot of receptions and lots of GL carries, but I don't think he is explosive enough to do much more than 4 ypc.
  10. Aaron Roders was the 2nd highest scoring QB last year so I'd say he has already stepped up. Also, I love that so many people forget this fact and are letting him fall in drafts.

    MJD v. Forte v. Turner

I wouldn't be so sure about that. Every year there a plenty of high picks who fail to perform near expectations. Last year SJax, Gore, and Addai were top picks and did not finish RB1. The year before SJax, Shaun Alexander, and Willie Parker were all big flops.

is there a show better than scrubs?

Office, Always Sunny, Flight of the Conchords, Curb, Glenn Beck, 30 Rock

    Whats with the MJD hype?

I'm not sure how the original poster was confused over the hype for MJD. The guy has been killing the league for 3 years now. As for the scat back comments? What exactly is a scat back? Was Barry Sanders a scat back? Was Tiki Barber a scat back? Weren't they worthy of being top picks? That being said, MJD has a good balance of power and agility. He is an elite talent and is being presented with the biggest opportunity of his career. I see him as having the highest ceiling on any RB in the draft. Also, I saw that the staff has a few formations where hey will be using MJD as a slot receiver in an attempt to get him into space more.

How would you rank rookie RBs with past top dogs?

You mean, rank them as if they were all rookies coming out of the same draft class? If thats the case, I'd say: 1. McFadden amazing since a freshman, if he stayed he would likely become the SEC's all-time leading rusher. 2. LT small school and weaker competition would hurt LT 3. Bush questions about toughness, but he appeared to have potential to revolutionize the position 4. Peterson injury concerns 5. Brown never carried a full load and was more of a workout wonder

    Parcells GM for Atlanta?

Shouldn't the Lions be actively pursuing a move like this? Parcells might the only man that could turn the Lions back into a consistent, reliable, and utterly average 8-8 NFL team. That is not sarcasm. Millen is having the luckiest year of his tenure and we are going to finish with 6 wins.
