Anyone hanging on to Watson in your keeper league ?
Ehlana replied to snatchit's topic in FFToday Board
I'm holding on to him. Worst case I don't keep him and he's another player in the pool. -
Went into last night 2 points down, he has Hunt... I have Butker

Buttkicker for the win. -
We start two QBs in my league. Wilson and Watson kinda layed the smackdown on my opponent.

Dolphins at Ravens: In-Game Discussion / Tilting
Ehlana replied to Mike FF Today's topic in FFToday Board
My opponent had Moore/Ajayi/Landry. I had the Baltimore defense. Much better than last week when my opponent had Amari Cooper. -
Stafford, Cousins, Wentz or Smith ROS - possible trade
Ehlana replied to Vol4life4446's topic in A Little Help!
Man you are kinda screwed weeks 8 and 9 aren't you? I like the idea of packaging Allen and Henry for either Wentz or Smith. I'd rather go for Wentz, but Smith is good too, and the Smith owner's WR are kinda bad so Allen is at least a bit of an upgrade. I'd also be in favour of just picking up Goff to back up stafford. Or maybe packaging Stafford/WR/Henry for Wentz/Jones to alleviate some of your bye week issues. -
I wish my opponent had Cooper on the bench. More points in one week than the previous six combined.

Only reason I want to trade for Julio Jones is b/c of that cushy playoff schedule against Tampa and NO. I also have a week 9 WR byepocaplypse, so Diggs for Jones would ameliorate that a bit.
-
I enquired about what it would take to get Julio Jones a couple weeks ago. His manager wanted Hunt and Diggs. I'm not sure I'd give up Diggs straight up, never mind adding in Hunt. I guess I probably would give up Diggs.

It's an onside kick. Pittsburgh never had the ball, so there's no change of possession.

Went from 8-1 and feeling good to 8-2 with two injured runningbacks. Not good. I suppose as long as they're back for weeks 15 and 16 I'll be ok.

Adjustment to score on wednesday cost me the game?
Ehlana replied to All_The_Way's topic in FFToday Board
Not an espn league, but I checked the stat corrections for my yahoo league, and it appears that the Minnesota defense was awarded an extra sack. Since opponent had the Vikings defense, i'm guessing that's the cause of your unfortunate loss. -
Keeping Larry Johnson. >.<
-
Bleah, I finally worked up the nerve to cut him last night. If I knew the chiefs had cut him I'd maybe have hung on. But good riddance I suppose.

Yeah, it was 2006 or 2007 I think, the first year I got desired changes to our starting lineups (to make up for it being an 8 team league). I spent a couple of early picks on QBs, and that totally flamed out. In addition Larry Johnson flamed out and my RBs were simply godawful, although they seemed good at the start of the year. On the bright side, my starting 3 WR were Larry Fitzgerald, Braylon Edwards, and Chad whateverthefhecallshimselfnow.

I don't see the point of this post. Sure you went 3 WR to start with, but you struck out on two of them. And it's not like more than one of your backs ended up working out. I can't see this example being a viable reason for me to try drafting 3 WR next year.

Due to a combination of horrid keepers/byes/suspensions, I started Mewelde Moore and LenDale White this week.

As of today, who is the consensus #1 pick in fantasy next year?
Ehlana replied to edjr's topic in FFToday Board
I don't think there will be a consensus #1. RBs will go early and often as usual, and players like Gore, Turner, Barber, Brown, Portis, Tomlinson, and Peterson will all have a shot to be #1, depending on scoring system, off season acquisiitions (and departures), and personal preference. -
Should the trade be vetoed? No. Is one team gaining more than the other? Unknown. Without knowing who the players are replacing, and who is being used in place of those players after they're gone, it's impossible to tell which team gained more. Nor is one team gaining more than the other grounds for vetoing a trade. Manage your team, and let other people manage theirs. Don't stick your nose in other people's business.

There's no place in the game for that, but it's a part of the game. Um, ok. whatever. moving along then.

You don't. But last year Chad Johnson had 10 games in which he had less than 90 yards and no TDs. So that means more than half the time you're getting 9 pts from your 3? round pick. 2006 was even worse. He had almost 1400 yards and 7 tds. But 450 of those yards and 5 of the 7 tds came in two weeks. So that leaves him with barely 900 yards and 2 tds spread over the over 14 games you may have started him. Which works out to about 7.25 ppg. Not exactly dependable stud WR 1 numbers.
-
Chad Johnson isn't really a #1 fantasy WR. He just isn't consistent enough imo. While his #s at the end of a season look pretty good, they tend to be concentrated in 2-3 games, and then you get diddly squat the rest of the season. 2005 was a good year for him consistency wise, but 2006 and 2007 just weren't up to snuff. you need to be able to count on your WR1 to get you 12-15 pts week in and week out, not 30 one week and then average 5 ppg the next 4.

I have a similar situation in my yahoo league, where I'm not getting credit for the seattle defensive td. Dunno what's going on.

Assuming one of Gore/Portis/Grant/Johnson gets drafted in the first 11, I'd take whichever two players from this list I felt the most comfortable with: Tomlinson Peterson Westbrook Jackson Addai Barber Lynch Jones-Drew Moss Wayne Owens Brady Since you start 2 WR instead of 3, and don't get points for receptions, I don't think I'd end up drafting 2 WR with my picks, although if two of Moss/Wayne/Owens were available, I might just do it. but I'd be reasonably content with Jones-Drew or Gore and Wayne or Owens.

I thought he got suspended for 8 games?
