Cap room trade rule...PLEASE RESPOND ASAP.

First of all have we voted on challenging trades or is this just something that J-Bob pulled out of his ass? Do we really want others to be able to veto a fair trade that might benefit 2 members of the league, but possibly could hinder some of the others by the added strength? For example, Team might have 4 great WRs and another team may have 4 great RBs and they trade a couple WRs for RBs, which would help both teams, making them more competitivein their divisions. Others afraid that this might make them too strong could veto. What happens to the Libertatian's right to free trade then? Now what is worse than if I left, having most of my team protected and having $71 in cap money or The Freak giving his cap money to another team and them leaving? If I left and someone took over my team as is, or if the players all went back into the draft pool and the new owner started from scratch, I don't think it would be as damaging to the other owners as the owner with the extra cap money they're bidding against.

I vote against, just because I see too many potential difficulties, one of which was illustrated in the bogus trade with the gators; another as Scott mentioned, is what if someone drops out of the league after making a future cap money trade.against
  3. yes, it is a bogus trade, but as I have $71 to spend on only 2 players for next year, it's not that far out that it very well could have been a real trade. If this was a real trade, how would you all feel about having to compete against a team that could outbid you by 25% on every player you want? I just wanted to get everyone to think about allowing trades involving future cap money a little more. What do you all think? Apologies to Corey and Bryan
  4. well, i dont think its right, but if it is, im going to take full advantage of it, I get my RB and the gators get $50 more cap money than anyone else for next year
  5. why would you think its a joke?

    Week 9 Starters Here

Damn, I got so caught up in reading the bull**** about the ruling on future cap money etc. that I may not get this in in time. For the record I'm against cap money traded to subsequent years for a very good reason. Question for the league..........

J-Bob, You may not realize this, but Martin copied the scoring system from Komie's league, and Komie copied the scoring system from my league. So as I originally wrote the rules, I'm well acquainted with them. I'm sure you did look up the stats before you tried to manipulate them. Sure Green has more points that McNair, but McNair has only played in 6 games versus 7 for Green, so naturally he would have more. However the points per game are about the same. Throw out that 51 point anomaly that Green had and his low score and do the same for Mcnair and they both average about 20 pts/g. That seems pretty equitable to me. Likewise, The Edge has 107 pts in 6 weeks and Pittman has 93 in 7 weeks. I would say James has quite an edge over Pittman. You can fool some of the people all the time, all the people some of the time, ah who am I fooling... you aren't fooling anyone.

    Question for the league..........

McNair for Green is an equitable exchange, but Pittman for The Edge? No way that I would make that trade.
  9. Blue Chip Underwater Bras v. His Meat in your league and Victors Valiant Conquering Heroes v. Austin Desert Dogs in mine?
  10. Settle down J-Bob. I was only kidding....about Jason looking at other guys. Everyone knows you're his biitch
  11. J-Bob, who do you think you're kidding? I bet you give Jason an earful when he just looks at another guy
  12. let's see if you can keep Faulk next year. I plan on getting another player for a buck and start the bidding on Faulk at $70
