    I got looted last night.

I left my car door unlocked by accident and someone went in there and stole my ear buds I use when working out.  Then again, it seems someone steals something out of my car every time I forget to lock it.

Who the fock would bother with ear buds???  Do you live in (or next to) the ghetto?

I'd agree that the musicians are worthy of making them a Supergroup, sadly the material they wrote and performed wasn't.

    I like Chickenfoot btw

    Isn't Satriani in that band?

that's the way I felt, if you scroll up you'll see my reaction as well.

At the time I thought there were a few more episodes, so it added to the shock

I know you boys wouldn't do it on purpose, but please no spoilers.

Glad to see someone else feels the same way, love their music but I can only take so much of LsBrie's vocals.

Read a funny review of one of their albums where someone referred to him as James "Just ran up a flight of stairs" LaBrie since he uses the breathy vocals way too much.

  5. Saw Sons of Apollo at a small venue.  They put on a great show.  While I love Dream Theater, their singer James LaBrie is the weak link in the lineup.  This singer would fit in nicely.

They do transactions and have injuries...

For example, in yesterday's box score section, they had at the top:

    Today’s Transactions
CLE- RHP James Hoyt sent down, RHP Dominic Leone called up
DET- RHP David McKay sent down, RHP John Schreiber called up
SEA- Rule 5 Pick Yohan Ramirez returned to Houston. DH Dan Vogelbach placed on 10-Day IL, OF Braden Bishop and LHP Taylor Guilbeau called up.

Wonder if they'll announce firings for the M's?

  7. Finally some good news (for me at least).  New Haken song came out yesterday with new album coming out June 5. Something to look forward to as the days continue to blur together in quarantine.

Ironically/unfortunately the new album is called Virus.  It's the continuation of the story from the 2018 album Vector. Thry were probably like "fuuuuuccccckkkkkk" when all this hit.

I started it when It was on Fx

Psychedelic for sure.  It might be better as a binge instead of once a week lol.  Ill check it out.

Hey, I found a new series of books, kind of in the vein of Jim Butcher's Dresden books

Tad Williams "Bobby Dollar" series.  I'm in the first book, pretty good stuff, lots of action and cool take on the battle between heaven and hell.

Not to heavy and easy to read.

Love Jim Butcher and the Dresden books.  I think there might be one or two that I haven't read, so I need to see what the most recent ones are.

If you like fantasy then check out his Codex Alera series.

  9. If you're in the mood for some light comedy check out Schitt's Creek on Netflix.  Canadian. Eugene Levy and Catherine O'Hara.  Also Chris Elliott playing a great redneck.

Yeah, the son is a phag (and actually Eugene Levy's actual son) but it's a good show.  5 seasons and episodes are like 22 mins long.

  10. I'm sure most of you won't know any of the members of Sons of Apollo, but it's a good lineup.

    Mike Portnoy - drums

    Billy Sheehan - bass

    Ex-Dream Theater keyboardist

Some guitarist that's been in other bands and is quite talented.

Nugent was regional?  He was on the airways in VA where I lived and my cousin in OK had all his albums.  He was THE guitar hero of that era until EVH showed up.
Hey Baby, Stranglehold, Cat Scratch Fever, Wango Tango, Free For All.

Styx did Renegade, Blue Collar Man and Come Sail Away before the Robot song and that other lame stuff.

Suite Madam Blue and Miss America are great songs as well.

The hell is a supergroup? Since Ive never heard of a single one in this thread it has to mean something else than just “a really good band”. Is it like a collaboration between already famous artists?

Yep.  The quality of said artists is open to debate, though.

I’m on the last episode I think, each one is better than the one before. Might be the best season which is impressive for a show that was good from the start. A lot of the time these things start great then fade or get lazy.

My wife and I are on episode 7 or so.  I don't even want to see how many episodes there are.  I'm gonna be bummed when we finish.  So damn good.
