I would take Addai over LJ hands down.

Corey Dillon. Will your league allow him?
MTSkiBum replied to Yippie Skippy's topic in FFToday Board
I am currently in the same position with Gary Russell, i believe he has the greatest chance of anyone currently on the steelers roster to be the heir apperent to FWP. It is a dynasty team hosted by myfantasyleague.com and he isnt in there database yet. I put in the request about 4-5 days ago, and i really should get him, because i emailed the commish and have talked to him about it, and i know no one else in the league has. We have 33 people on our roster(35 with IR spots, although its idp) -
I would chose westbrook, this is because Parker has a new offensive cordinator, one that may not run the ball 500 times in a season, and also he is going to have 2 new lineman this year. One of the biggest factors for helping a running back is consistency in offensive line. Also late last year Reid passed off play calling to his offensive cordinator, and his OC proved immediatly that he likes to run the ball. Yes westbrook is an injury risk, but no more of an injury risk as a Willie, since he is entering the year with very mild knee problem.

Drop your second TE, no reason to carry 2 TE's on the roster, ever. period.

I would just like to say Nan's a stud, even if his team projections with us, the fftodayers helping out, flopped.

BIG TRADE! i GIVE UP MARION BARBER FOR RANDY MOSS
MTSkiBum replied to eaglesfreak's topic in A Little Help!
I would take this trade, just because I like your RB's, and because i believe Boldin is going to suck with Wisenhut coming into town, i would be suprised if boldin breaks top 24. -
I would keep LT and Addai, but if it was Sjax(gore, Westbrook, or even Henry), Addai, and bush i would of done it. Its just i am down on LJ this year.

Lynch right now i believe is the most over rated RB(that you have on your roster), he is going to be in a RBBC, and be in a sitation where he isnt the goal line back, or the 3rd down back. He hasnt been a good enough blocker yet to earn the 3rd down spot, and he isnt as large as A-train. While he has lots of upside, i think that upside is dependent on A-train going down. Plus he has a value of a late 2nd to early 4th round round pick. You shouldnt get sold on offering him for 1 player, offer him to lots of other teams( and only trades that slightly favor you) and see if anyone either bites or offers you a counter offer. :edit: Also Hackett was just demoted below Burleson on the depth chart. If you can use Hackett in the trade thats a good thing, because even though I believe hackett will eventually work his way up to the #2 WR on Seahawks depth chart this year, the fact that he is being challenged by burleson does not bode well for his break out potential.

2 mediocre recievers do not equal a reciever of javon walkers caliber. The only way to consider this trade is if you start 4 WR's.

I would draft Henry or Bush over LJ or Rudi. LJ has hit the single season carry that causes running backs to break down after, and Rudi has hit the carrear carry load that causes RB's to break down. I am a big believer in statistics so neither of those guys would be an option. I would of told you Henry and backed it up with tons of arguments before his grade 1 MCL sprain(grade 1 means NO structural damage) if it was regular season he would come back the next week and play, but he will sit out the rest of preseason(cause its preseason). The reason bush is in the argument, is because its a keeper league, and because i have projected solid #1(not top 5 numbers, but still good) numbers for Reggie bush this year, and because in 2 years i expect Deuce to have either a much decreased workload or to have moved on to another team, which should put his numbers top 3.
-
The reason Cecil Sapp was picked up over dunn, is because Sapp is the only healthy RB that Denver has right now, Henry has a grade 1 MCL sprain(very mild will play week 1) and Mike bell is out the first 3-4 weeks with a hip injury. And he is probably hoping that Henry's injury is actually more serious than what it is, or maybe he is hoping that because of henry's injury it will force shanahan to convert back to a RBBC, and everyone knows denvers RBBC> atlanta's RBBC.
-
did you read my post, while i agree, that kenison probably could be dropped for a different WR, a kicker doesnt need to be picked up till the very last possible moment, 1-2 people at most will trade kickers before the season, so the quality of kickers in FA wont go down, no reason to rush into it if you have waited this long.
-
Ok, i wont argue with you on gore, i wouldnt chose him either unless he fell to 5-6 in a ppr. However Addai and bush would really be my 3 and 4 picks Last year as a 2nd string back in a RBBC addai finished 13 in PPR leagues, Bush finished 9th. Over the last 5 weeks of the season bush was 4th in ppr(LJ had already started to wear down and was 8th over the last 5 weeks) Bush lines up in WR slot- thats good for PPR leagues, i dont think bush will be a stud, but 1000 recieving, 500 rushing and 90 receptions is a pretty reasonable estimate. His TD total will determine whether he finishes 5th-7th or top 3. Addai has the backfield all to himself, and lets look at how edge did when he was young in a PPR league behind manning. In edges rookie year he finished with 2000 total yards and 17 TD's and 62 rec in edges 2nd year he finished with 2200 total yards 18 TD's and 63 rec I am not saying that addai is edge james, but to discount him because he is young is a terrible idea. Addai is in the best ppr offensive system, and has the entire backfield to himself, if you want to pass on some of the best PPR backs be my guest, but if you take LJ over either Addai or bush you are dooming your season from the get go.
-
I would take either Gore or Addai, and i would lean gore, just because i believe his ceiling is higher. There are many, many reasons not to take LJ 3. 400+ carries last year, 2 Hall of Fame lineman retiring over the last 2 years, and questions at the QB position.
-
I would assume you have those rb's cause it is a keeper league. And i wouldnt do this trade in a keeper league, Driver is old, and jacobs is young, plus with tiki got alot of receptions in the past, we dont know if Jacobs will continue that, but i say there is a 50/50 shot. If you are insistant on this trade ask for something else in addition, haggle and try to upgrade one of your other WR's in addition.
-
take neither, this is PPR, and PPR addai, gore, and even a slight possibility of R Bush are all better 3 picks, i would chose addai. This is because even though gore had alot of receptions last year his QB is a year more experienced, so this means less dump off passes going gores way, also with vernon davis being a year more experienced he will get a higher percentage of those dump off passes. Addai or gore>>>>>>>>>>>>>LJ in a ppr regardless of whether he has signed or not

Except MB3 runs in the low 4.6's.............. duckett is slow as mollasas and barber is 6-0 220 and duckett is 6-0 255 besides that they are exactly alike

Please dont give away my ranking strategy
-
you should wait till the friday before the season begins, and watch how these players progress, one of them might get injured, or benched, etc. Dont drop any of them yet. You dont need a kicker yet.
-
Raiders, Texans, Dolphins, Chiefs, and any team with a new QB or coaching staff.
-
Daunte Culpepper will get it as he leads the raiders to 7-9 record!
-
Housh, i have seen WAY too many 1 year wonders in the WR department to recomend colston.
-
keep bush maroney, they are both young and you can keep them for years to come, and good running backs are hard to come by in keeper leagues.
-
I would much rather have housh than Walker, if for no other reason that you are allowed to say "championship" when you aquire him seriously though TJ this year improved his speed so he is faster than 85(at least a rumor i heard from 2 different sources dont know if its true or not), i think he has a slight possibility of being a top 3 WR, and a pretty good shot at being 3-8 range. Plus without TD vulture henry for the first 8 games, and an aging Rudi, he could be money.
-
Bo scaife in PPR could be good, he will get all the dumpoff passes from a rushing QB, think vick-crumpler. Plus young and scaife played together in college, they already have good chemistry. Plus with him you could wait a couple more rounds.
