Stats are check able, for converting 2-3yards for downs he really was. Can't quite remember the site I got it from, Detroit did have an issue reaching the goal line and that really wasn't his fault (not entirely).

Kevin Smith while healthy was one of the best short yardage backs in the league, who knows how well he will recover from his injury or if he will keep that status. His lack of break out or long runs and the injury is what caused them to draft best as he is a more explosive back. If Smith is really back to form, you can probably expect him to take over some of the short yardage work.

According to this I should bench Brady for Kolb and plug in Gaffney as my #1 receiver.

non ppr mccluster, ppr I'd give gaffney higher ceiling but greater risk of being replaced. Mccluster will have lower but more consistent point scores 10-30 yards 2-3 receptions ect.
