Yeah that’s why you see a player near the basket take a shot and when it misses then they call the foul because they want the game to flow if they can. So if the guy gets a little bit of contact that could go either way but he makes the shot. They are going to let them play, but they’ll ring it up if he misses. like look at the Rose Bowl the other day. That was one of the best officiated a games I’ve seen in a long time because they just let everything go and let the players figure it out on both sides. It was fantastic.

The same people that complain the traveling doesn’t get called throw fits on Sundays when holding calls get made every other play. If it doesn’t necessarily affect the play, they are going to let it go. A breakaway like that he could’ve taken 10 dribbles and still dunked it. not saying i 100% agree with it but I also don’t really want to see officials blowing the whistle every other play

Oh yeah he’s fantastic. My only concern with Jared is I almost get Josh Allen vibes from him that he’s just one of those guys that’s going to always be really really good but just can’t win with him. I don’t know I think you have a good combo with Montgomery and Gibbs. I just don’t think Goff can get you guys there. But Laporta and Saint Brown have been fantastic. It’s a fun team to watch.

Yeah, but if I recall, Pollard had a nice gain on that play, so instead of being second and short, they got pushed back to the 44 and had to throw. Not the biggest deal, but it did certainly change their playcalling to where they could’ve just kneeled and won the game anyway. Don’t get me wrong. It was a mess all the way around. No theres really no maybe. Hutchinson tripped the guy but they called it on dallas. Obvious blown call. the 2 point looked like trickery (again explain why 70 is sprinting to the ref) and there was confusion. Missed call but detroit played a role in that.

Not to mention the refs screwed up the tripping call on dallas (it was hutchinson) which would have let dallas run out the clock. Lions lost as they should have…just by separate odd calls
