    (WSIS) Gaffney or Welker?

A lot of people are projecting big things out of Gaffney, but I think Welker is a pretty safe bet for 50-70 yards. Gaffney could have a great game, but he could also put up a goose egg. As said in the description, I am starting R. Moss as well. Standard scoring. Thanks!
  2. Grad the stud recievers while you can. There will be servicable RBs in the later rounds if you do your homework and know what to look for.

    Portis or Fargas?

Portis has a terrible matchup, but Im unsure if Fargas will get the goalline carries. This week is a huge week for me, who should I go with? Also Carlson or Winslow?

  7. Who do you think will be better/worse for the rest of the year?

    Chris Perry or Kenny Watson?

Marvin Lewis said that Perry would get the starting job if the season were to start now, but I have read reports that say he is still behind Kenny Watson on the depth chart. I have Perry on my roster, but Watson is still on the WW. Should I swap them or stick with Perry?

    Waver Wire Advice

My team and league set-up is in my signature. Here is my delima - I have 1 roster spot and I would like to do 3 things with it. 1. The Titans D/ST is the spot I am thinking about moving. I know people say only carry one defense, but I really dont want to start the Jaguars when they play the Colts and such. I would love some of the guys on the waver wire, but I have trouble giving up the Titans when my other D/ST is only the jags. 2. My only TE is Heath Miller. Im high on Heath, but I wouldn't mind a backup TE. Unfortunately backup TEs flew off of the draft board for some reason this year. The only options at TE would be Donald Lee or Zach Miller. This is the worst "value" of my 3 options, but I think it would help fill one of the biggest needs on my team (TE). 3. My other option is to grab a backup/split carry RB. Im amazed how many are left on the wire (because idiots have Witten and still drafted Crumpler). Options are L. Washington (I have T. Jones), K. Watson (I have Perry), Ray Rice, M. Morris, A. Bradshaw, J. Norwood. I already have 5 RBs on my team, and I dont know what good another split carry RB would do for me other than the hope that the starter would be injured and I could trade them away for value. I don't have to have a 2nd Defense and I can always pick up an "okay" team of the WW, but I dont feel comfortable with just the Jags. I am very uncomfortale with JUST Heath as my TE. What should I do? Im leaning towards keeping the Titans.
  10. yes, calvin was 1 pick before G. Jennings
  11. Yeah, that was the order I drafted in (i know, i know). The league is a little QB heavy and 3 of the guys are in their second year playing. The other 7 are quite experienced. Luckily the 3 inexperienced guys picked before me taking manning and brady so i could snag westbrook. I love my draft as a whole, but as I said im not in love with jennings (scared rodgers wont throw the long ball as much as favre) and Roy (not likely enough targets to be a solid #2 IMO). After the given advice I think I will stay put with Jennings/Roy. Anyone else have an oppinion? Thanks so much for the advice!
  12. Here is my team picking out of the 6 hole in a 10 teamer B. Westbrook L. Johnson M. Colston B. Roethlisberger T. Jones G. Jennings R. Williams J. Cotchery D. Williams N. Burleson H. Miller D. Garrard Jaguard C. Perry Titans R. Gould Start 2 RB/2WR, 6pts per all TDs. I drafted Jennings/Williams because of how high other people had them ranked, and because they were slipping. I needed WRs but unfortunately none of the ones who I was high on had slipped. I grabbed Jennings/Williams because I felt that there was very little value elsewhere. Should I be happy with these 2 filling in as my #2 Wide out? I am very tempted to start sending offers such as Jennings + Williams for Holt. Can anyone convince me that either of these will suffice as my #2 WR?

    Adjusting rankings for all-TDs-worth-6-points format

Like some have said, a lot of it (but not all of it) depends on where QBs are being drafted. If people are going to wait until round 4 to draft a guy like Brees (like they do in all these RBs are Gods leagues), then I recommend waiting until round 4-6 to get Brees/Palmer/Roeth. However, in my league (6pts all TDs/+2pts for 250 passing/+2points 30yrd TDs - not as friendly as yours but Brady still outscored LT by 12ppg) Brady will go 1.2, Manning 1.7, Romo 2.2, Brees 2.7, and Palmer/Roeth sometime in the 3rd. In this situation I recommend trying to snag one of those top 6 QBs at as good of value as you can get in one of the first 3 rounds. Last year the top 3 teams in my league (scoring and H2H) had Romo, Brady, and Manning. The other 3 teams which made the playoffs had Favre, Roeth, and Hasselbeck. Hasselbeck guy won the league, but he made it into the last wildcard spot on a tiebreaker and his team exploded in the playoffs (Romo + TO in week 15 for me = 6 pts =/). IMO, with your scoring system, you cannot go wrong with picking a solid QB early. 24 ppg for Manning in my league last year compared to McNabb's 16 ppg. 8 ppg - thats the same as the difference between Addai or Portis and Ron Dayne or Deangelo Williams. As you can see by where the QBs will go in my league (2 in each of the first 3 rounds) these huge point totals for QBs does not make them "more" important than RBs. There will still be 7 RBs compared to 2 QBs selected in the first round. However, if people in your league are taking QBs early, I wouldnt hesitate snagging one of the top guys and getting an almost guaranteed 20+ ppg.

    Who to take at 2.05?

Romo is an option I have thought about. I snagged him in the 13th last year and it saved my season. I think I may try that in a mock and see what my team looks like. I know my league is QB friendly, but I just dont know HOW high to pick QBs. 6 QBs outscored LT last year. At first glance I would say that QBs are too powerful if LT cant break the top-5, but then I look at the availability of QBs and I realize I can get Roethlisberger maybe in the 4th?

    Who to take at 2.05?

All TDs 6 pts, 1 pt per 25 passing/10rush/10recieving. 2Pt bonus for 100 yard Rush/revieving/300 yard passing game. I have the 6th pick in a pretty QB friendly league. The league is mostly family so I know already how most of the first round will go (as follows) 1.01 - LT 1.02 - Brady 1.03 - AP 1.04 - Addai 1.05 - Westbrook 1.06 - SJax (me) 1.07 - Manning 1.08 - Portis 1.09 - Barber 1.10 - Gore 2.01 - LJ 2.02 - Lynch 2.03 - Moss 2.04 - This is where im not sure - if it were me Ide take McGahee (already has manning) but this owner is unpredictable. 2.05 - Im sure of all of the picks up until 2.04, so I need to decide who I like of the remaining guys. Say 2.04 picks Braylon Edwards or Grant - Who should I take, TO/Wayne/McGahee? Im leaning towards Wayne. I would love to shore up my #2 back with McGahee but Im not sure that I trust the Ravens offense this year. A lot of late-1st early-2nd RBs tend to bust, and I think I would rather have a sure thing in a WR. I feel that TO has more risk/reward than Wayne but that is not what I'm looking for. My only concern with Wayne is that there are reports that Marvin looks healthy (great being im a colts homer) and I know that is not a good thing for Wayne Fantasy-wise. There are not enough balls to go around in Indy when everyone is healthy. So what is your take? Who should I go for at 2.05?
