    Who to trade away...

Ok we start 1/2/3 and my team is: Manning (Rivers) Dillon, Parker, Benson, TJones, Duckett, Foster SSmith, Branch, Gates, Burleson, Roddy White I need to get rid of a RB and pickup a WR. The Maroney/DeAngelo owners will likely NOT trade them to me b/c of future keepers. I doubt I'll get enough value for Duckett, and I love him as a bye week player. So really between Foster/Dillon, who to try and trade? Or just stick with them all for now? If Branch comes back or gets traded I will have a pretty decent top 3 WRs, but no depth there at all.

    RB handcuff Help Please

4th and then 6th at the earliest. Foster could be very, very good this year so I wouldn't suggest JUST taking Williams. If you go Gore/Williams you're gonna have one RB that's on a terrible team and one RB that may not get many touches.

    Drop Betts for Duckett?

Duckett is always underrated because he doesn't get a great # of carries. But even if Portis is healthy, Duckett will get most/all of the GL snaps and score 8-10TDs. I don't know about you, but to me an 8-10TD guy is at worst a GREAT bye week replacement, and the upside here is great considering Portis' situation. Betts will get some carries that Portis otherwise would get, but he will NOT get the GL carries that Duckett will now takeover.
  4. NOBODY is talking about how this affects DUCKETT. Anyone?? I can't see him getting any less than the 7-9 TDs he's good for in ATL, plus now he's likely their go-to man until Portis is injured. With that injry a big question mark I think it moves him up, a lot. This trade has the most effect on Duckett, IMO, and no one is talking about him.

Does no one care about Duckeet??

    Duckett trade

I've seen topics on Norwoods value, Vick's value, Portis's value, and Dunn's value....but what does this do for DUCKETT's value?? I am probably going to keep him now in the 8th rd. of a 10tm league. He'll score 7-9 TDs, which is more than most every other option in that range of picks...and hell he might get a LOT of time now with Portis still out. Any other thoughts?

    Steve Smith "worlds tightest Hamsting"

Since I get to keep him in the 9th round of a 10tm draft I'm not as worried as other owners, but he certainly is an invaluable piece of my team if I want to win the championship. I think they are just being WAY overly cautious, and why not? Don't pull a Portis.

For those thinking of taking Manning at #4

I may take him 5th in a 10tm keeper league (and only 4pt pass TD) but I don't know, here's my predicament: I'm keeping S.Smith in the 9th, T.Jones in the 11th, and N.Burleson in the 12th. Most of the good RBs are keepers and so in the 5 slot it's either Manning or the top RB, which is likely Westbrook. Hell then it leaves me the decision in the 2nd: Harrison/Fitz/other good WR or someone like Chester Taylor or Dom Davis. I could also keep TJ Duckett in the 8th. I know it's high for him, but at least I can lock up a RB that is gonna score 7-9 times during hte year. And if he happens to get dealt, it's probably a great move. Tried posting this on the other board but never got any bites, so maybe in this thread I will!
  9. Start 1/2/3/DST(incl K) 4pts passing TDs, no PPR Ok we can keep 4 players a round above where we drafted them the year before. I am keeping: Steve Smith in 9th Thomas Jones in 11th Nate Burleson in 12th I have the 5th pick and I have to decide on these options: Best RBs: Westbrook, Dillon, Parker, Taylor, Lewis, Dunn, Foster or I could take Manning and probably get one of those, or Bush/Green/KJones in the 2nd. If I go RB here I would probably then take the best WR on the board in the 2nd so I have a killer WR corps, and the RBs left would be no better than guys I could pick up a few rounds later. Would I be a complete idiot to take Manning and then take Marvin Harrison if he's available in the 2nd?

Keep Foster in the 3rd? 10tms

Thought about keeping Branch/Burleson/Smith/Jones but Branch might not play! At least if he does I have a decent starting 3WR and can concentrate top picks on RBs. Thanks for the reply.
  11. We can keep 4 guys a round above where we drafted them last year. So far I am keeping 9th round - Steve Smith 11th round - Thomas Jones and then 2 of these: 12th round - Nate Burleson 6th round - Deion Branch 3rd round - DeShuan Foster Probably Burleson and Foster because I pick 5th and by that time the BEST RBs available will be Westbrook, Parker, etc. A 3rd might be a little high to keep Foster but I think it will allow me to go Manning/RB or even Manning/WR and still not be completely shut out of starting RBs. How quickly do I pickup DeAngelo though? 7th? 8th?

DeShaun Foster - I'm loving it

I can keep Foster with 3.5 in a 10-team league. We can keep 4 keepers total, so going into the draft there are a ton of RB kept. Good move to keep him? And if so, where do you pickup DeAngelo? 7?8?
  13. atxff

Where to go in the 1st/2nd Round

Also if I keep DeShaun, where should I expect to pickup DeAngelo Williams? I can't imagine he'll be there past 8? Oh and since I'm def keeping Steve Smith, is it a bad idea to keep DeShaun in the 3rd? I'd hate to HAVE to handcuff him with DeAngelo and own 3 Panthers.

Should I Be Looking to Dump the Edge?

Well what are you gonna get for him? If it's enough, dump him. I don't think he's so good that trading him away is going to ruin you, unless you don't get fair value.
  15. Ok in this 10 tm league we can keep 4 guys a round above where we picked them last year. We start 1/2/3/1 DEF/K. I am keeping the following: Steve Smith in the 9th Thomas Jones in the 11th Nate Burleson in the 12th I can also keep either Deion Branch in the 6th or DeShaun Foster in the 3rd. I pick 5th, so right in the middle of each round. By the time it gets to me with that 5th pick, I will have the following to pick from: Brian Westbrook Willie Parker Chester Taylor Domanick Davis Corey Dillon Jamal Lewis Ahman Green Deuce McAllister Fred Taylor I am thinking that I should keep DeShaun in the 3rd since that will at least guarantee me a decent RB in that round. Then I have 2 options really: Pick Manning with my first pick and the best available RB in the 2nd -or- Pick the best RB in the 5th spot and take a top WR in the 2nd Better to take the best QB on the board when this level of RB is relatively equal? Or do I need to get a RB with my first pick b/c the talent pool is so shallow? Or I could keep Branch, giving me a pretty good WR start, and go RB/RB in the first two spots?
