I just got done with a draft in a start up 16 team IDP dynasty league. Kuechly and Mosley went in the 6th round. I personally think that's a waste. Round 9 or 10 is probably the earliest you want to start drafting your LB starters. If you pay attention you can always get some great options that emerge in-season.

update: just traded Ballard, S. Jackson, and Stafford for Alfred Morris, Dwayne Bowe, and Eli. I think I'll keep Bowe and Ingram and roll my dice on drafting a serviceable QB.

Some people just reach for the top DL and LB too early. You gotta remember that top 90 or so of the offensive players are kept, so some people would rather draft a Jason Pierre-Paul instead of Santana Moss or Pierre Thomas. Ballard or Ingram will be gone in the 1st round.

16 team IDP league, 6 keepers. Keeping: Matthew Stafford, Steven Jackson, Dez Bryant, Hakeem Nicks, Jimmy Graham Other options: Mark Ingram, Vick Ballard, Ahmad Bradshaw, Jeremy Kerley, Sidney Rice, Daniel Thomas, Charles Johnson DL CAR, Michael Johnson DL CIN, Luke Kuechly LB CAR. Defensive scoring in our league is underpowered, so almost no one keeps defensive players. Top DL's and LB's start getting taken in round 2-3 though.

No rookie is going to get a starting gig on a John Fox team, so don't expect a lot from Ball this year. This is the guy that started a mediocre DeShaun Foster over 1st rounder Deangelo for 2 years.
