Indianapolis Colts at New Orleans Saints
BobSanders_33 replied to Mike FF Today's topic in FFToday Board
I'm shocked at how little Ingram is getting in this game. Another close TD given to a fullback. I will not start him again unless Sproles or Thomas is injured this season. NO is an RBBC like I've never seen before. -
I picked up Williams. I know that the common thought is that it is Morris's job but he is an aging back in decline. Williams is both the better short yardage back and the better receiver. I don't know how Morris could be a decent play. The real upside is if Williams can take over all duties.

Flynn would be the best fit but I doubt the Packers would give him up for less than a Kolb type deal. The Raiders don't have the picks to pay. The Raiders finally had a team to make a run but there isn't anything at QB on the market and I doubt they will want to overpay the Broncos and Orton. I think they will lose some games and then see what they have in Pryor at the end of the year.

A lot depends on if Oakland can do anything on the trade market before Tuesday. Defenses were already stacking the box against DMAC but he needs a QB that can make 3rd down throws to keep him on the field. If they do not pick anyone up by week 13 I could see them dropping out of the race and then giving Pryor a shot at QB. I know it sounds crazy but with no QBs on contract for next year and Campbell coming off a major injury they will want to see what they have.

I'm hoping Ingram finally has a big game this week. With McCoy out at DT the TB D should be weak up the middle. I think the Tampa Bay offence should be limited with no Blount. If NO can get up early this would be the time to establish Ingram.
-
I like McKnight's upside if he gets the call. The Jets OL is not run blocking well up the middle. They need a back that can get to the edges. Powell is more of the big back like Greene and that isn't working right now. I've got McKnight stashed if the change is made.

Ridley or Tate....who do you like more going fwd?
BobSanders_33 replied to dreen626's topic in FFToday Board
You have nobody else that you can drop? Ridley could be a good back, but Tate would be a goldmine in the fantasy playoffs if he recovers and Foster is injured. Tate is more of a lottery ticket. Your best case with Ridley is he gets the lions share in a RBBC. -
Targeting Chris Johnson. His value is as low as it will get barring injury and he has a nice schedule.

I think the Houston D might be a sneaky play here. Wade Phillips will throw out a lot of blitzes and they have upgraded the secondary. Kerry Collins is going to be limited with his snaps he has taken under center in practice and he will not have the entire playbook to use. I don't think much of the Indy running game. I think Collins is going to be a statue in the pocket and turn the ball over at least 2 times or more.

Ingram/Jones Williams Williams might be most talented but maybe not after injuries. Jones and Ingram will play in much better offences. The switch might have flipped for Jones but he hasn't proven he can carry the rock near the end zone.

WR Sleepers - Lots of promise this yr

Like in order MSW, Knox, Ford, and Moss. Edwards- 3/4 receiving option with Alex Smith or rookie QB. Plax- will have some good games but not enough targets. Thomas- Gabbert will be starting at some point. Breaston- not enough targets. Amendola- least stinky of the group but not sure if he is Welker or Royal. -
I really like Ingram for all the reasons listed above. NO isn't the pass happy offense that uninformed people think they will run in the red zone. He is also Payton's guy. You can't discount the arrogance of a head coach. If Josh McDaniel was still the head coach where do you think Tebow would be on the depth chart? He would want to prove everyone that he made the right choice. Same thing here with Ingram and Payton. Payton hasn't been shy about how disappointed he was in Thomas last year with his recovery from an ankle injury. He spent a high choice on Ingram and he will want to show he made the right choice. He will want Ingram to put up the numbers he is capable. Ingram reminds me of Ray Rice a couple of years ago. Rice was going in the 4th/5th and was a steal. People were worried about McGahee but Rice got the carries. Ingram might not be as good as a receiver as Rice, but he is on a higher power offence and is a better short yardage runner. I would rather have Ingram than Mathews, Williams, and Moreno going before him and then every other back going after him.
-
That is the reason I don't want Foster. With Tate and Ward stealing some carries to lighten his workload he doesn't have the same upside.

I am interested in taking part in this league. Please email me at jasoroling@hotmail.com. -
This is what makes Collie such a high risk high reward pick. I can't think of a player more likely to have a season ending injury. He is really just one big hit away from being done. If you hear him talks it sounds like he knows that one more and he will spend his life on other pursuits.

Both Stewart and Goodson are on the wire in my 10 team league. Seatle's D has been getting gashed by the run and I'm wondering what people think about who the guy is to own this week and if they would be better than Moreno vs a tough KC run D?

How do people feel about Sidney Rice's potential when he comes back during the playoffs. I'm struggling if he would be worth picking up off waivers and staring in front of Santana Moss during the playoffs. Santana has been good in PPR and has nice match ups. After Sidney gets 3-4 weeks of playing do you guys think he could regain 2009 form?
-
The Lions have not been getting gashed by the run like they did last year. I would go with Best because he will catch a few balls and has the chance to break a couple of long runs.

Plus the guy is also looking at Q's playoff schedule. @ Hou NO @Cle

My Fantasy Football Season Re-Rankings at Week 8
BobSanders_33 replied to kliquid's topic in FFToday Board
Your ranking of Santana Moss is way to low. He has a great schedule and is getting the targets he needs. Welker is ranked far to high. Besides the first game of the year he has been very average. The NE passing game is all punched up and he has very little upside. -
I own both and I would value Britt higher. Welker has become bust or bust. I don't want a WR thats "upside" is between 7-12 pts per game. The NE passing game is all punched up and I don't see many 100+ yard games in Welker's future.

IF Portis comes back I don't think it will have much of an effect on RTs value. The two fumbles against Chicago were the result of two excellent punches ot the ball. RT has a favorable playoff schedule at the current time. I also don't think that you can get fair value for him unless you package him to upgrade a WR or RB. The big concern about RT is if he can stay healthy.

This will be an interesting situation to monitor. Just last year fantasy mags were saying that Gonzo was the next big thing and would fill into Harrison's role without missing a beat. Then came the freak injuries and the emergence of Collie and Garcon. I think that much of the success of the Indy WRs are that they are products of Manning and the system. Given the chance Gonzo could make some noise for a few weeks and the when Collie comes back the entire Indy WR crew becomes a WRBC mess.
-
I also just trade Ray Rice. For the reasons stated above of not catch balls and not getting goal line carriers. He could have had a decent game against Cleveland if he had stayed in the game, but it looks like Baltimore will spread the ball out more than I like to see. I picked up Hillis off of waivers so I will go with the White Earl Campbell as my RB2 from here on out.

I dropped Knox for Tate. The Bears OL is having a hard time holding up to allow Knox to run deep routes. It just doesn't look like Cutler trusts him enough to throw him the ball. At this point I'd rather take Brady's deep threat than Cutlers.
