  1. There are two spots open in a new keeper league I've started. 10 teams. Rosters will have 1 QB, 3 WR, 2 RB, 1 TE, 1 K, 1 DEF, 6 BENCH. The first year will have a snake draft using the Yahoo draft engine. Future drafts will be ordered from worst record to best and worst points scored to best. Here's where it gets interesting. We will be using the AAV (average auction value) of players as listed on FantasyAuctioneer... BUT WE WON'T HAVE AN AUCTION. Each team will be given an amount of money equal to 115% of the value of the highest valued player in last year's draft. They can use this money to protect whatever players they wish (by paying the amount that player went for last year PLUS 10%. If a player ended last season on PUP or IR, don't add the %10). Any money not spent to protect players will be lost. So, let's say at the time of our draft this year that LT (the player with the highest AAV) has an AAV of $100. His owner can protect him in next year's draft for $110. This will leave him with $5 to protect other players. If Peyton finished at $50 in this example, his player could protect him for $55, leaving him with $60 to protect his other players. If we used the AAVs currently posted today, LT (at $86.32) could be protect next year for $94.95 ($86.32 plus %10), leaving the manager $4.32 to protect other players. Manning could be protected for $47.14 ($42.85 plus %10), leaving his manager $52.13 to protect others. Once everyone has been protected, all unprotected players will be thrown back into the draft which will be conducted in the manner described in the first paragraph (snake draft, worst record first). AAVs are posted here: http://www.fantasyauctioneer.com/proxy?:in...p;textVersion=3 If you are interested, please contact me at sygyrd@yahoo.com
