I've had all of our family movies transferred from 8mm and Super 8mm to mpeg2 and burned to DVDs. I'm making it for my mom, and will give copies to my siblings too, but I need some suggestions for music. So far I have "Always," by Ella Fitzgerald, "What a Wonderful World," "Cabaret," "Unforgettable," "You Stepped Out of a Dream," "MacDougall's Pride," (by Ashley MacIssac,) "Bookends," The Beatles, "Two of Us," "In My Life," and a few others, "At Last," by Etta James, Into The Mystic, Aint no Mountain High Enough, and "You Are The Sunshine of My Life." I have more than that too, (Thanks to a really cool friend I've got about 30 Gbs of music,) but, I have movies from 1952 - 1979, plus I'm mixing in some still photos. There was over 35,000 feet of film, and it's been edited down to 3 DVDs. I thought I'd stick with music from the decade of the film, except for the early 50s stuff of my parents and grandparents because they were into a lot of 40s music. I know nothing about music in the 40s and early 50s. Anyone have any suggestions?

That's what I thought! Well, if you sent it to my work email, it'll probably take an hour or two to work it's way through the 8 gazillion email marshall filters...

Anyone know if there's a video of this available. I missed most of it because I kept looking at the screen and saying... "That's not really Al Gore is it?" "That's gotta be an impersonator. This guy has a personality."

It's called Coprophalgia and lots of dogs do it. There's a lot of possible reasons, A female dog may eat her puppy's feces to help conceal their presence, hiding them from predators and other threats. A puppy imitating his mother may pick up the habit. The dog may be trying to get the owner's attention. She may be imitating the owner after observing them pick up feces. She may be suffering from stress and/or anxiety. Recent changes in her daily routines that effect her diet. She may be suffering from a B-Vitamin deficiency. She may be suffering from disorders of the pancreas or intestine. My vet thinks it's most likely a vitamin deficiency, or that the dog is just really gross. This stuff, Deter Coprophalgia Treatment works great. It's inexpensive, my dog ate it like it was a treat, and apparently it makes their shiot taste worse than shiot!

Oh my god! That's why my Beagle/Jack Russell mix does that. It is so completely disgusting! One time I took her to the park down the street from me that has a hockey rink up year round. If it's not winter it's just a bin enclosed area and she can run in there and play catch, but isn't loose. She found, and rolled in, what I swear I thought was peanut butter when I got to where she was rolling. I don't know what focking animal ate what nasty crap to get the diarhea ass that produced that pile, but it was the most foul, gag inducing stench I have ever encountered.

Where was the assisted living staff? Why didin't they answer the door? What the heck kind of "assistance" is there if she's lying on the floor pressing her "I've fallen and I can't get up button" and the cops have to show up to assist? (Well try to assist. Apparantley your city hires anyone with a pulse for their force.)

I have never lived in Shaqgopee, or Shakopee for that matter. I have a sister who lives there with her hubby and kids. I actually live in Edina. It's a suburb of Minneapolis. I say Minneapolis so I don't have to explain what I just explained.

Cuz there's some crazy mutha's in that Islamic group. Seriously though... We seem to be more than willing to group ALL followers of Islam in with the nut job terrorists who claim to be followers of Islam ... but, I don't recall ever seeing ALL Christians being associated with Tim McVeigh or the abortion bomber guy, or even ALL Catholics being associated with the IRA. Why the group mentality for only Islamics?

OK yeah, the top speed is (generously) 30 - 35 mph, but that's faster than I can go on the highway to work in rush hour... and when it costs almost $40 to fill the tank in a friggen SATURN?!?!?! I'm riding the moped.

I'd have to maintain at LEAST dual citizenship in France. It's a beautiful country, but the people suck ass. Canada has good beer, good hockey, but the winters suck ass. I'd have to say Canada sucks less.

At what age did you guys start, or would you recommend a kid start lifting? My 13 (almost 14) year old wants to lift with the varsity football team this spring/summer. They've asked him to work out with them which has me cuz he's maybe about 120 lbs, fully clothed, with boots on, after a big meal. He can lift a shiot load with his legs right now (a lot of BMX biking, skateboarding, and moshing) he was leg pressing something like 600lbs... I could be wrong there, but that's what his best friend told me. On the bench press ---- he can lift the bar plus maybe 20 pounds or so.

So.... I'm looking for a mini-van....
DauntesInferno replied to mmmmm...beer's topic in The Geek Club
Russ Auto Group, in Portland has a 2004 Sedona LX, with 11,000 miles on it for $13,995. I'm sure you could talk them down on that. Don't know if it'll work... they're advertising it on CarSoup.com. There's a private party selling one with more stuff and 14000 miles for $13,250. Actually, there's a bunch of minivans on there. -
