Wanted LT2 in my $$$ auction league, thought he was a great value pick. Some value, 10 fantasy points in the first 5 weeks. Also wanted Anthony Gonzalez, outbid, unsuccessfully tried to trade for him prior to Week 1. Now he's out on the WW. OTOH I wanted (and got) Brady and Moss. Still waiting for that combo to kick in.

Favre for Cedric Benson - when I already have Rivers and Big Ben on my team. (We only start 1 QB). Thanks but no thanks.

I traded Braylon for Donald Driver immediately after the trade. I guess I should have waited a week and gotten Boldin instead. Though I think anyone paying htat price based one one good game is insane.

Pondering a trade of Randy Moss and Pats DEF for Reggie Wayne and Joe Flacco. Pats DEF and Flacco are just Bye week fillers, so the real trade here is Moss for Wayne. Any thoughts on who will be bigger from here on out? Edit - the Moss / Brady combo has started out slow, but I looked at DEF rankings and the Patriots have definitely faced tougher passing defenses (Jets / Ravens / Broncos vs. Jags / Cardinals / Titans for Indy). From here on out the schedule lightens a bit for the Pats and the Brady - Moss connection should come around.

Blocking = reasonable move. Add/drop all FAs = ###### move, won't work in many leagues. With Yahoo! for instance if you add then drop a FA the same day he doesn't go on waivers but goes right back to the FA pool. And anyone pulling this in my league would have their team locked.

So other league members do waiver pickups to block your opponent and give you an easy win? If you asked me to do this I would trade my backup to that team just to watch you lose.

So far Massaquio is a one week wonder. *Could* be legit, but I'd take Bryant over him without a thought.

Nothing like offering two pieces of waiver wire trash for a WR1/WR2.

Points to the OP for admitting his mistakes ... many posters here are undefeated in every one of their fantasy leagues and picked up every hot WW gem weeks before anyone else heard of them. So far my worst move is trading Holt and D. Henderson for Braylon ... shat for shat trade, but I actually thought Edwards was better than a WR5. I'm sure there are worse moves to come.

FYI ... *anyone* in a CBS league can view a Transaction Report which includes lineup changes. If the commish makes a change and attempts to cover it up by deleting the record, you'll still see the discrepancy. That said, I think the commish making late lineup changes that the rest of the league can't do is bush league (unless there are issues which the website, which unfortunately is all too common with CBS ).

Steve Smith is the undisputed #1 WR. Anyone else (Manningham, Nicks, Hixon) is a crap shoot.

Just to clarify a bit ... Romo isn't the worst QB in the league, just terribly ridiculously overrated. Nobody except Al Davis expected JaMarcus Russell to be any good this year, but Romo was ranked by ESPN / Yahoo / CBS as a Top 7 QB (FFToday had him as #8). With performances like today it is hard to see him being in the top half of the league.

Very hard to predict FG attempts week to week. Pick a decent kicker (good %) and avoid terrible offenses (STL, CLE, etc.). Dome team / warm weather team is a plus. But in the end it is a crap shoot - ex. Lindell gets 16 points in week 2 vs. TB, then only 1 point week 3 vs. NO.

Hopefully he doesn't get his annual injury until that tougher stretch of games when he would be sitting anyway. But doesn't Mendenhall look a a huge friggin bust now. Keep the bench warm ...

I just put in a waiver claim for Kassim Osgood (Chargers #6 WR) as a handcuff for V. Jax. If V. Jax goes down, Osgood will see his production skyrocket. Seriously, two of the requirements for a handcuff are (1) will get the majority of work if the #1 goes down, and (2) is a good player in their own right. Bennett meets neither of these.

So when your turn came early in Round 2 you drafter Gates? Let me know how that works out.

Or better, just give points to players on the team that WINS. Because in the end in "real football" yards / TDs / etc. don't matter, getting the W does.

Oops, wrong forum, sorry. That said, I figured Edwards is the only guy of these three with a chance to put up WR2 numbers consistently. Plus I don't feel like guessing wrong each week as to which of Holt / Henderson / Burleson to use as my WR3 each week; Edwards is now clearly my WR3.
