    NBC Flex schedule

NBC does *not* get to pick from all games. CBS and FOX (who also paid quite a bit of $$$) get to protect some games from "poaching" by NBC. Perhaps Indy vs. Jax is one of those protected games.

    Horrible ground conditions in Pitts

In our league Big Ben ended up with 4 points. Hope the FF gods were kind to you. I was up 12 points going into tonight with no players left and my opponent with FWP and Heath Miller. I won by 4.

    Worst Crummy Trade Offer

I need a DST for Week 10, with not much out on the WW. I was willing to part with a spare QB (Kurt Warner, sack-o-shat that he is) and put out offers to teams with an extra DST. I get an offer back of Bears DST - Santonio Holmes. It's fair, so he says, because they both have about the same number of points. Never mind that a WR that averages 12 points a week is far more valuable than a DST that averages 12 points a week. So that made me want to ask what are the worst trade offers you have received for a decent player. Include serious offers only, not those that obviously were a joke.
  4. Seems to apply for all pro sports ... the public "return date" is a best case guess, and players almost never come back when they were first expected to. Terry Glenn was first expected to miss two weeks or so for the Cowboys, now it is Week 10 with no sign of him. Eddie Kennison had a "slight hamstring tear" that has kept him week-to-week for what, now 10 weeks? And of course all the examples mentioned above. You won't go wrong very often assuming the injury is worse than the team lets on, and that the original return data is a pipe dream.

    Worst Crummy Trade Offer

Agreed, I didn't say or mean that Bears - Santonio was a terrible trade offer. Now the SJax - LaMont Jordan offer I go today ... It just made me wonder what really rotten trades offers have been made out there.

    LJ out for the year!

I owned Caddilac this year, he didn't get near the number of carries that LJ had, i don't understand how he got hurt and is out for the year. After all, only "fatigued" players get injured.

    Vincent Jackson! Buy NOW

Week 9, 1 catch, 16 yards against the Vikings. Still waiting for Vincent to bust out.

    WW Pickups week 10?

I'm hoping to pick Patten up later tonight as a replacement for V. Suckston, oops excuse me V. Jackson. Chris Henry was scooped up in my league two weeks ago. Muhsin Muhammad may also be available in some leagues and has done a bit better once Griese became the starter, YMMV.

    Larry Johnson

Got me ... I'll fix my mistake before they fix their story. And BTW, they are professionals, I'm just an amateur.

    Larry Johnson

Great grammer grammar there ... Fox 31 in Denver obviously has high standards.
  11. I'd rather organize the Travis Henry Father's Day celebration than work for Rusty.

    Where's the F You thread?

A huge F U to Kurt Warner. I actually dropped Vince Young to pick up this tired old sack of sh*T for Week 9 with Eli on the Bye. I lost by 3 points; if I had played Young I would have won by 3 points. (I just can't get over how pathetic it is to even say "Vince Young with his bad wheels and non-existent passing would have won me the game this week."

LJ has mid foot sprain per Herm

From the KC FOX stration ... FOX 4 Sports has learned that Chiefs Running Back Larry Johnson is expected to miss somewhere between 2 to 3 weeks with an ankle sprain ...

    Alexander?

I was able to trade SA for SJax to an owner who needed a bye week replacement. Since he still has Brandon Jacobs and ADP, losing a banged-up SJax wasn't a big deal for him. And as it works out, he didn't need all of SA's 3 points this week anyhow.

    LJ had xrays yet ?

Lost Cadillac. Picked up Pittman, lost him. Traded away Reggie Wayne for LJ, now lost LJ. Had Shaun Alexander get a case of foo-in-a** disease, making it impossible for him to run. Managed to trade SA for LJax. Fully expect Sjax to develop Cambodian Bamboo Thrombosis in his back, keeping him out for the rest of the year. Picked up Kevin Jones, understand he may be out for the year with a severe case of Spastic Colon. I fully expect to end the year with Ricky Williams, Tiki Barber, and Phil Simms as my RBs. Votive candles do not work, I've tried. Perhaps a pilgrimage to the Dalai Lama is next.

    Chambers New #1 in SD...

Below average QBs usually rely on their TEs. Nothing shows me that Rivers is anything other than a below average QB, so I expect Gates to continue to put up big numbers.

    Warner stinking

And I dropped Vince Young for this bozo at the last minute (bye week replacement for Eli). Young does his usual nothing but still gets more fantasy points than Warner. Unbelievable.

    DEEP sleeper WRs for tomorrow....

Vincent Jackson should be on the WW ... but due to byes he gets one last chance for me this week. Something tells me that even against MIN he will have a brutal game.
  19. Nice. Our league has a (small) prize for the weekly high score, so everyone has something to play for at the end of the year. And the last place team has to polish the trophy. And I'm sre that any owner who tanked the end of the season would not be invited back.

    Dumping Shaun Alexander

Drafted Alexander, Cadillac, and Tatum Bell. (Yikes!) I picked up Kevin Jones when an impatient owner dropped him Week 4. Got LJ for Reggie Wayne in Week 5, right after LJ finished his tough spread of games. I paid a lot, but I think I will get my money's worth. Now all I need to to is trade one of (SJax, KJones, Selvin Young) for a receiver, as I'm now a bit weak in that area (Fitzgerald, Santonio Holmes, Muhammad, Vincent Jackson - must start 3).

    Shopping Selvin Young

You should, that is a great deal. Graham at least even if not better than Selvin (as Henry is succeeding in dragging the process out), and Housh is better than Welker.
  22. jrbdmb

    Shopping Selvin Young

Considering I found this trade on CBS (in a commish league no less): 11/02/07 Johnson, Larry RB KC (for) Morency, Vernand RB GB h2h Both commish You have to conclude their are a lot of morons playing FF.

    Vincent Jackson! Buy NOW

So in Week 8 V. Jackson got a total of zero catches, zero yards, one target. The Chambers trade is looking like a big No Confidence vote against Jackson. If he has another poor outing against the Vikings, time to cut bait.

    Dumping Shaun Alexander

Traded SA for SJax. Hoping that SJax stays gets healthy and isn't shut down for the year, but since I have LJ and Kevin Jones I do have some insurance. Real goal is to turn around one of my RBs for a WR, but so far nobody has bit.
