    No Activity on Help Board

Here is the link to the post. Again, I appologize for posting in this arena but since the ff season is over and there is little to no activity on the help board I thought it would be okay. Thanks for the help. http://www.fftodayforums.com/forum/index.p...howtopic=338010

    Trade Help

I am in a 10 team keeper league. We keep 7 players each year. I finished 2nd this season so I have the 9th slot in the upcoming draft. We start 1QB/2RB/3WR/1Flex(RB or WR)/1TE. Standard scoring, all TDs 6pts, no ppr. Here are my current team projected keepers in Bold: QB D.Brees S.Hill RB R.Bush W.Parker P.Thomas K.Smith E.James K.Faulk R.Mendenhall D.Foster M.Moore WR AJ Calvin Johnson L.Evans B.Berrian D.Branch D.Hester D.Thomas(WAS) TE J.Carlson I have been offered Westbrook or B.Jacobs/Ocho Cinco/1.08/2.08/3.08 for K.Smith and AJ or CJ. If I don't make any moves I think I have a very strong core. I also already have two fourth round picks. This would give me two 1st rd picks, one 2nd rd pick (traded my 2nd rdr during the season, two 3rd rd picks, and I already have two 4th rd picks. I mean 7 picks in the 1st four rounds is big, but is loosing K.Smith and AJ for Westy/Jacobs and Ocho worth it for next season and the future? My current keepers are as follows and give me a really solid core but I only have 4 picks in the first 4 rounds. D.Brees R.Bush P.Thomas W.Parker K.Smith AJ CJ

    A.Reed

Over the last two weeks he has seen how his team can win ball games...run and run often. He comes out throwing tonight then puts D.Jackson in as the QB. There is no way PHI needs trick plays in the red zone to beat CLE. Is it just me?

You're right TO... it was a "lack of unprofessionalism"

Yes he certainly stumbled in the interview but his point was taken. We all know the media loves to stir up things, especially involving high profile players.

Bench your stud for Rhodes vs DET? WHIR

I sat D.Williams for Rhodes in the league I own him!

    RB Help

Okay, so once Addai was announced inactive I chose to start Rhodes. We can only start two RBs. All TDs 6pts, 1pt for each 10 yds rush/rec and 1pt/rec. Do I start: B.Westbrook vs. CLE or D.Williams vs. DEN I hope I have not made a mistake but I could not resist Rhodes at home against DET and Addai inactive!
  7. OldManTime

Now what do we do with Addai and Rhodes?

Well I was feeling pretty good about my 2 RBs Westy/D.Williams. However, if Addai is out do Rhodes now move up the list?

    Starting RB Help

Good stuff and looks like as long as Westy is a go it is Westy/D.Williams. If Westy is a no go I think I will role the dice with Rhodes in DET. I mean even if Addai starts I see IND getting a lead and them resting Addai. That means Rhodes should get some solid stats late in the 3rd and 4th if not sooner. Anymore?

    Hightower vs. Choice vs. Ricky

Yeah I think Hightower is on any bench this week with the Williams boys intact. I would roll the dice with Choice, I have a feeling Barber is a no go this week. Even if he plays I still see Choice getting 15+ reps. Good luck.

    Cutler vs. Rodgers, again.

I for sure give Rodgers the nod here based on matchup. You really can't go wrong either way but the DEN running game is a mess and I think CAR can stop it with 7 meaning plenty of coverage for the DEN WRs. Rodgers should throw for at least 275 and 2 TDs and a good chance he runs one in as well. Good luck

    Royal or Breatson?

I would give Royal the nod here. As far as Barber, if he plays you must start him. If not start Breaston. Thanks for seeing mine.

    Draft strategy

Well I will take a stab at this. This team got me the best record in this league (10-3) and scored the most points. It is a 12 team redraft, 4pts pass TD, 6pts rush/rec TDs, ppr league. We start 1QB/2RB/3WR or TE/1K/1DST. Here was my draft: in draft order B.Westbrook M.Turner D.Brees B.Marshall A.Boldin D.Williams(CAR) D.Jackson(PHI) R.Williams(MIA) R.Rice L.Booker E.Royal N.Rackers K.Walter GB As of today here is my team via ww and trades: original players in bold P.Manning B.Westbrook J.Addai D.Williams R.Grant D.Rhodes A.Boldin B.Marshall M.Colston D.Driver S.Breaston C.Chambers S.Gostkowski PIT As you can see I did quite a bit of trading and ww work. I try to trade players at peak for players underperforming. I only have 4 of the original players I drafted or 28.5% of my original team. However, as you can see if I still had to start my original lineup: D.Brees B.Westbrook M.Turner/D.Williams A.Boldin B.Marshall D.Jackson N.Rackers GB I would still be starting a very solid team. I really believe that your scoring system should be a big factor in how you draft. That being said I always believe you take the best player available, with in reason, b/c that player gives you more trading power down the road. Some things I certainly try and remember on draft day: 1. In the first 4 rounds I try to take players that do not have a lot of questions around them. 2. Never take a QB in the first round. There are always good options still available in rd 3 or later (I got Brees in rd 3 this year) 3. Understand there is a big difference in player rankings in ppr and non ppr leagues. Most people do not turly understand this. 4. RB depth is very important! 5. Always back up your studs (If you get Westy get Buck (before the season I thought Booker was the cuff for Westy), if draft Addai get Rhodes, etc.) or draft multiple starting RBs. 6. Make sure you know who the cuff RB is for your studs. 7. Look at SOS, but don't base your entire draft on it. Use it as a tie breaker when deciding on players, as D/ST change during the year. I have always tried to get 2RBs/1QB/1WR in the first 4 rounds, depending on the talent available. In this format you are almost certain to get a true #1 RB, #2 RB, #1 QB and #1 WR. That is a very solid base for a team and allows you to take some chances with other players. Now, no matter how good ones strategy, you also must have great deal of luck to win it all. This season I was blessed with sound strategy and lots of luck so I hope that continues through the playoffs. Remember in the playoffs any team can beat any other team on each week. Hope this helps.

    Starting RB Help

All TDs 6pts and ppr. Which two to start? RB's (select 2) Westbrook, Brian vs. CLE (great matchup but Westy is ? for the game) Williams, DeAngelo vs. DEN (great matchup and stud pretty much a no-brainer) Addai, Joseph @ DET (great matchup but ? and has not been playing well) Johnson, Larry vs. SDG (nice matchup but think I have better options) Stewart, Jonathan vs. DEN (think D.Will is the start over Stewart) Jones, Julius @ STL (nice matchup but I have better options) Rhodes, Dominic vs. DET (if Addai is out does he get the nod over Westy or DWill?) Leave your link and I will answer your post.

Just Plain Stupid.. or possibly smart?

Well I am starting all 3 as well in a non ppr league but I do not have your options. If you are in a ppr this is not totally crazy but if it is a non-ppr league i would seriously consider benching Bush for one of the Cowboys. It sounds like Barber might could have played last week and they certainly need a win this week and it is a division rival. Just my opinion. Good luck.

    Keeper Draft Help

Thanks for the input and I feel the same way about B.Jacobs, good point about K.Smith, and nice insight on Forte. I want to take Forte but my gut say K.Smith. Anyone else?
