thedanzone 2 Posted May 8, 2005 I would prefer a 5th round pick over these lames, but I'll keep Parker if its your preference. It's really up to you if you want 22 or 21 players. My guess is you'd probably drop him anyway during the draft.

Did you have to drop a player before the draft started or as you picked?

Did you have to drop a player before the draft started or as you picked? In my cases, I had traded away a pick and only had 3 draft picks. I still waived 4 players to get down to 22, I just had a compensatory pick to get to 26 players after the draft. At the present moment, I believe I'm in line for the same thing this year. whoisjgalt 0 Posted May 8, 2005 1) everybody has to drop to 22 2) if you have more then 4 picks, you can lose the extra pick(s) or drop down to 21 (or less) (or a combination if you've got at least 6 picks) 3) if you have fewer than 4 picks, you get an extra 5th round pick (based on last year's standing if more than one team qualifies for this) 4) we start the draft with everyone having picks + players =

I think you had 7 picks in one draft and 5 in another. If I had 7, it was pick swapping during the draft... ie: I drafted Winslow and immediately traded him to Wilzone for a pick. We always have 22 before the draft, and we always have 26 after the draft. I thought that was the basic premise to everything?

bigmarc27 24 Posted May 9, 2005 Ok, so now I'm confused. O has 6 picks according to the draft thread -- doesn't that put him at 27 total players after the draft? 26-4 Parker, Griffin, Jurevicious, Morris =22-1 T.O. =21 + 6 =27? Just curious.
whoisjgalt 0 Posted May 9, 2005 Ok, so now I'm confused. O has 6 picks according to the draft thread -- doesn't that put him at 28 total players after the draft? I think it's already been decided that he's cutting three from his 25 current players and losing the 4.04 pick (his 5th selection). The 5.01 - no idea why it's there. DZ needs to edit that. Dan traded Croom for Owens then cut Croom. I chose to cut Parker rather than lose 4.04. My roster is presently at 21 + 5 picks

thedanzone 2 Posted June 6, 2005 FiedlerMcCown Eddie George Can I send the Soldier to the Army (injured) Reserves yet? If not, also drop Jay Fiedler. http://www.fftodayforums.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=13675 IR RULE Only two IR spots allowed on one roster at a time. A player can only be IR'd if OUT, PUP, or IR'd by the NFL. Once a player is IR'd that player can not be used on any team's active roster for the duration of the current season. After the playoffs and before the last MNF game in NFL Week 17, IR spots must be empty, thus dropping players on a roster equal to those spots used on a team's IR. If IR spots are not released on time, the league will vote on which players to drop on a particular team. The vote will last 48 hours! I don't believe the NFL has released an IR schedule yet. So you'll have to cut someone else, NOT FIELDLER twice.
