grandpahoo 9 Posted July 25, 2002 Enjoy! 12. CH Highest ranking: 11 (10 votes) Lowest ranking: 11 (10 votes) Comments: "taking the 'five year plan'" "Not horrible, just the bottom of the list as I see it" "Moss is a stud... other than that he better hope McCallister and Vick produce NOW or he is in deep ****e! This team will eventually be a tough opponent but I have a hard time seeing him win 6 games this year" 11. Wilzone Highest ranking: 3 (1 vote) Lowest ranking: 10 (2 votes) Comments: "Daunte AND Edge - nice. His weakness is WR - no proven #1" "Once again, repreat with me: 'Dear Lord, don't let Daunte and Edgerrin get hurt - Amen'" WIlzone's analysis: "My Tig Ole Bitties will jiggle around a little this season, but once they mature and become fully grown, they are going to be pretty spectacular. This season I might finish in the lower half, but I should be a contender in years to come." 10. Falcon Highest ranking: 4 (1 vote) Lowest ranking: 10 (2 votes) Comments: "Garcia, LT2, William Green, Browns defense. Team’s best days are ahead of it" "no real #1 at receiver and noone to replace Rice. No proven depth at RB" "I really like this team in future years... I think playoffs will be hard this year but he will contend for many many years to come. Very young and talented." 9. Orgazmo Highest ranking: 4 (1 vote) Lowest ranking: 10 (1 vote) Comments: "Better at WR than Wilzon, but the tallent at QB and RB is not as good. Questions at TE." "McNabb and Alexander - nuff said." 8. rurbaniak Highest ranking: 3 (1 vote) Lowest ranking: 10 (1 vote) Comments: "Strong at WR, but weak depth at RB. Weakest QB of those ranked so far" "If he finds a real QB then he'll win it all." rurbaniak's analysis: He slotted his team as #5 overall. 7. whoisjgalt Highest ranking: 1 (1 vote) Lowest ranking: 9 (3 votes) Comments: "Peyton and Owens keeps him in the thick of things, but too many unproven players" "Weakness at RB is the only thing that puts him behind 3 and 4" "Great QB and WRs but RBs are pretty much bleh." 6. gratefulted Highest ranking: 4 (1 vote) Lowest ranking: 10 (2 votes) Comments: "the Boom or Bust team. Injury histories are many, yet could win it all" "health questions at QB and RB. Bad PKs and D/ST. He moves up if Fred is healthy." "IF Fred ever stays healthy this team could be scary." 5. Vikes Highest ranking: 1 (2 votes) Lowest ranking: 10 (2 votes) Comments: "Solid at all but D/ST. Lacks depth at TE, PK and D/ST. Not as strong position by position as grannypoo." "Has Superstars and solid depth. An overall great team." 4. thedanzone (note: Dan and Mongo tied, but Mongo wins the tiebreaker due to his one first place vote) Highest ranking: 2 (3 votes) Lowest ranking: 9 (1 vote) Comments: "Best kicker, strong running corp" "Strong at RB, but he is very questionable at QB and there's just nothing fancy about his WRs. I do like Gaffney" "Great pair of RBs and WRs - QB is a concern" thedanzone's analysis: "My pick commentary: 1.12 – Curtis Martin This is a great first round pick in my opinion, Cumar has proven that he is a stud. 2.01 – Anthony Thomas I do not think A-Train will improve much upon last year, but he showed greatness as a rookie and is a top 10 RB. 3.12 & 4.01 – Eric Moulds and Derrick Mason These two should produce similar numbers and are looked upon as 2nd tier WR’s. I really wanted Harrison and Cumar, but some schmuck botched that plan! 5.12 – Steve McNair I do not know why McNair isn’t looked upon as a very good 2nd tier QB. I like McNair ahead of Favre, Gannon and McNabb this year! 6.01 – T.J. Duckett I wanted a Foster or Duckett in this draft. I have seen both go late in the 6th and early in the 7th rounds. I figured that if I really wanted Duckett now was the time because I would not have gotten him coming back at 7.12. 7.12 – Lamont Jordan The guy is supposed to be good and I have Cumar insurance. The run on back-ups started at 6.03 with Rhodes, then Barlow, Canidate, Portis and I nabbed my insurance policy. Great pick-up in my book. 8.01 – Charlie Garner Is this guy potentially the steal of the draft? I couldn’t pass him up even though I wanted too. I hope they stick to last year’s game plan and not run Wheatley so much. 9.01 – Marc Brunell The guy is that much better right now because of them signed a true 2nd WR in Scott. He is a great back-up to have! 10.01 – Jabar Gaffney From what I am hearing is that this guy is going to be good. I hope that pans out at 10.01 for me!?!?!? 11.12 & 12.01 – Chicago Bears & Mike Vanderjagt Not too early at all, defense is favorable position scoring wise and getting a top 5 DT could prove to be rewarding. Vanderjagt has been the best kicker over the past 4 years. 13.12 – Quincy Morgan I like this guy, he caught well as a rookie and he put on 15 pounds in the off-season, all muscle! I wanted Freddie Mitchell here as well. 14.01 – Kyle Brady As long as he is top 15 material, I’m happy. I think Walls may have a better year, but nabbed Brady due to a lack of McCardell. Westbrook and Hillard were steals IMO. I also back-up McNair with O’Donnell because McNair can be fragile at times. I say I finish top 3 in points scored this year!" 3. Mongo Highest ranking: 1 (1 vote) Lowest ranking: 9 (1 vote) Comments: "Warner with good depth, productive blue collar skill guys, top T.E., top defenses" "I have questions about his RBs and WRs. No proven #1 at WR. I do like his depth and youth." 2. grandpahoo Highest ranking: 1 (3 votes) Lowest ranking: 9 (1 vote) Comments: "Quality QB, with future star in the wings, Faulk, Holt, A+ T.E.s" "Solid at all positions, including depth and youth" "Good skilled players all around. Repeat with me: 'Dear Lord, don't let Marshall get hurt - Amen'" "Sorry." (from the team that ranked me 9th) 1. Farmer Bernie Highest ranking: 1 (3 votes) Lowest ranking: 6 (1 vote) Comments: "Quality starters in all areas, depth is too young" "Overall, nice young team." Farmer Bernie's analysis: "Me, I like my team. I think I'm going to start a thread on the board about how our teams came about. I have pieces in place for the future at all positions - most questionably at RB. 3 starting RBs and a strong top 3 WRs will make flex lineup strong. Brooks should be very solid at QB. I have the top D/ST and PK. Good stuff here. Top 3 for sure." Power Rankings by Division: 1. South 2. North 3. East . . . . . . . 4. thedanzone 2 Posted July 26, 2002 Good job hoo! Now what is this business about being able to name the team who finishes last place?
Orgazmo 2 Posted July 26, 2002 Originally posted by thedanzone: Now what is this business about being able to name the team who finishes last place? A tradition someone on the FF board has in his league. The worst team at season's end gets the pleasure of every one else naming his team the following year. (ex. Greenwich Village People end the year with the worst record, so next year we get to vote on a new name for his team. Something humiliating like Smegmal Discharge or the Monkey Deathcars.) AUKidJoshH 0 Posted September 10, 2002 What moron ranked my team #4? I hate my team! I have one decent runningback (with an upside of 2) and a motley crew of 3rd and 4th tier receivers. Garcia's not THAT good.
Vikings4ever 496 Posted December 2, 2002 How the mighty have fallen. 1 and 3 fail to make the playoffs, 11 and 12 almost make the playoffs, and 9 and 8-10 do make the playoffs. We have to start thinking of names for Mongo's team. :evilsmilie:

whoisjgalt 0 Posted April 13, 2003 Wow - what a fun read. We were awful at predicting how this would go. South as the best division? That was the division with no team better than a 5-8 record. Mongo to make the playoffs as a top-three team? Bernie's as the best team?
