Walking thru Free Agency Pt 3 - and questions (bidding and list)

Recommended Posts

Lets give anyone else a couple of days more to comment. I had to take a break and get back to Madden 04. Great game.

Anyway, yes we will have a firm decision by Tuesday night. I will be back making more comments/answering qustions tonight and Saturday. Thanks.

I might have a compromise, but let me re-read the thread and think about all the points brought up by this.

PROPOSED RULES ADDENDUM (proposed Sept 8, 2003)

20. A conditional bid established with the 2003 season allows teams to conserve limited funds. An IF NOT/THEN order maybe added to conditionally place bids on players if the 1st (or 2nd) choice was not successful. Once a player is successfully obtained, any futher conditionals within the same bid will be ignored.

21. A team may not "ripple bid" a player. Example: Bid 3 for RB James Studly, IF NOT/THEN bid 4 for RB James Studly, IF NOT/THEN bid 6 for RB James Studly. You can not submit the same name more than once during any weekly bid.

22. If a team submits more than 3 names in a bid, any names past the first three that appear will be ignored.

23. If a team submits a bid that totals more FA points than the team has to spend, the entire bid will be ignored.

So, I can do this...?

Bid 3 on Don Stud/if not then 3 on Bert Jones

Bid 1 on G.Kicker/ if not then 1 on Oher Kicker

Bid 4 on Lynn Swan/ if not then 3 on John Stallworth.

---OR is IT...

Bid 3 on Don Stud/if not then

Bid 1 on G.Kicker/ if not then

Bid 4 on Lynn Swan

???

Please & Thanks! B)

This:

Know Doubt:

Bid 3 on Don Stud/if not then 3 on Bert Jones

Bid 1 on G.Kicker/ if not then 1 on Oher Kicker

Bid 4 on Lynn Swan/ if not then 3 on John Stallworth.

..would be treated as this:

Know Doubt:

Bid 3 on Don Stud/if not then 3 on Bert Jones

Bid 1 on G.Kicker/

...ignoring any name after the 3rd one.

If I understand correctly, then scenario 2 is the correct one

Blitzen:

So are we officially going for this method of free agency pickup?

yes, we are just working out the kinks. It still retains the "make your bid" element but does allow a little flexibility with limited conditionals.

Know Doubt - you can only submit 3 names, any further names will be ignored. The 3 names maybe linked in a conditional (IF NOT/THEN) but inducing a conditional does not allow you to submit more than 3 names.
