I couldn't chance him not making to me in the 6th and settling for a mid tier WR. Besides from the sound of Brain he wouldn't of gotten to my 6th round pick.

Also Moz I noticed the comment about Rogers being my hometown boy. I think me being a Detroit homer has made Rogers less valuable to me. He is talented like moss but like moss his off the field stuff throws up a red flag. Being a Detroit Michigan Homer I have had to read the articles written about his 2 children from 2 different women one of which stabbed him with a fork and collapsed his right lung. His academic problems and whispers of cheating all through college. His supposed failed drug test. I don't think people outside of Michigan and specifically MSU where I have a lot of friends know just how bad of a guy this guy is and how likely this guy is to not make it.

This guy has talent just oozing out of him but he has trouble written all over him. He always has.

I am not sure the Lions offense will score 10 TD's this year.

As bad as he might be - i seriously doubt he has the same level of off the field baggage as Moss ! As for the multiple Kids and cheating in college -- you just described over half the RB/WR's in the NFL. I am sure you have alot of reliable sources being from there -- I have seen hi play alot - and the guy is just as talented as Randy Moss at this stage IMO. But we'll see.

Does my trade look a little better to you now? I didn't figure anyone would take him, and now I have better positions coming up.

No way I hate Antowain Smith.

He had less yards, less receptions, less receiving yards, and less TDS than Duce and is older. I don't see any reason to take him.

Is Paul here? We need to get these next two picks in or DD is going to be gone for awhile.

But Shox the Driver pick was very shaky in the 4th IMO -- i would have taken Porter , Rogers , or Gardner ( I think he is the better WR in wash than Coles )

Enough with every time Paul comes up we say "we might be here a while". He does not post on this site, He registered only to get in this league. After the draft you may never see a post from him again. I work with him and tell him when it is his turn. He will be picking in the next few minutes.

I know this is a Dynasty league, so it is a bit different, but IMO I still want to get someone who is going to produce this year rather than gamble big on the future. Rogers has a ton of potential, but I don't see him outproducing a guy like Driver this year.

just my .02

Only have two guys on my board for the 6th round, the rest have all been snagged. I wouldn't be surprised if one more leaves this in round 5.

Rogers may of been a reach in round 5 but A. Johnson

Stone hands and awful route running skills ! He has great size and is a great athlete but ikley won't do much for a few years -- at least 2.

Not that I am one to justify picks but we have alittle time before DD gets back...

AJ is the next Terrel Owens..this is a dynasty league correct?, or do you all plan to bail out in a year or two?

I am not drafting for this year in case you haven't noticed, my oldest player so far is Moss DOB 2/13/77. I have a plan and am sticking with it dispite any critism that comes from you jabronies.

I wanted Porter or Rogers at this spot but they were gone.

If planed to bail -- do you think I would have taken Barlow and Rogers in the 1st 5 rounds  :P

If you building for the future then maybe it was a decent pick if he pans out but is going to need to learn how to catch the ball. TO he is not -- Boston maybe.

Sillyness. He is raw. Needs time to develop skills but awesome pure athlete. I don't know where you get the stone hands thing. From all I have heard he has great hands and has enough potential that some scouts were projecting him to be better than Rogers just not as ready to make an impact. However hardly any rookie WR's make an impact fantasy wise. Given that Brain already has his 2 starting WR's this pick makes way more sense than the Rogers pick.

Quick question, why would anyone burn a fifth rounder for either receiver? You

should be able to get them from the 7th and on if you choose to do so.

I am sorry if it seems like I am harping on you but "Needs to learn how to catch the ball"? 3/4 of the sh*t you say is wrong. If anyone needs to learn how to catch the ball it is Rogers. His weakness is short and intermediate routes. That is well known and even admitted by Rogers his first weekend in Detroit. Unfortunately Detroit runs an offense that is mostly short and intermediate routes. Impact? Maybe next year and by then Johnson will be a beast.

I took Rogers becasue at the time I picked IMO he was the only WR on the baord that had the upside to be a top 3 WR very soon. maybe even top 10 this year if he messes with Mooch's system right away. I think Rogers is Mooch's new Terrell owens with less power but maybe better moves and speed. I think both have great hands.

Lou,

I wouldn't. I am trying to build for the future as well as now. Neither Receiver will do anything this year where there are plenty of 2nd and 3rd year WR's that are still very young but will produce this year whereas these 2 will not. But if you see something special in these guys or you just plain want them I guess you feel the need to grab them.
