wow, true he should have called a run but down at this point, i dont blame him calling passes if he thought it was a better option

 

the D was likely playing run and would have opened things up more

Doesn't the OC call the plays? Scott Lineham or whatever his name is.

 

I don't care what situation the game was in that is crap play calling. The Phins hadn't been able to pass their way out of a paper bag all night, Brown was the only thing they had going for them on O. Giving him only 8 carries was criminal!

Welcome to NFL.

2nd-and-12 is a great time to call a pass because the defense is thinking run. If you don't complete the pass, you still have 3rd-and-1 in which you can hopefully pick up the first down. Don't know if it was or not, but would have been the perfect time for a play-action.

You are exactly right. Its unreal how people just start these stupid threads, I wonder if people are really as stupid as some of their posts.
