I am thinking he will not rush back this time. Hammys are tough. He might sit till after the bye, its really just a week to week thing.

Crap, that does not sound promising. Usually, they disclose what grade tear it is. I think he is likely done this year.

Since when was it declared a tear... i just heard it was strained... similar to Ward but just a little worse...

It's probably a grade 3 pull, which involves some tearing. Can really ruin a WR's speed and acceleration. I wouldn't count on Horn being the same Horn we've seen in years past when he does return.

I dumped Horn into the FA pool. Sure, I might regret it later, but I suspect it will be a lot later. I remember when Moulds was in and out of Buffalo's line-up for an entire season; I got sick of checking on Sunday to see whether he was good to go, since starting him was never the right decision.

Horn is a gamer, so all this missed time makes me think he's nowhere near close to normal. I'll let his new owner post the "Saints Homers. Updates on Horn?" weekend messages.

Does anyone know the severity of the pull... really anything specific...

I got this from about.com... to me it sounds more like a grade 1 pull...

In less severe hamstring strains, Grade I injuries, the tearing is microscopic. The muscle fibers are essentially stretched to far, and some bleeding occurs within the muscle. In very severe hamstring strains, severe Grade III injuries, the hamstring muscle can completely rupture, and may require surgery to repair the torn ends of the muscle.

I think if it were a grade 3 they would be getting him some type of surgery or simply putting him on IR...

The reason im asking so much is because i got a trade pending for him... if its a small injury, i can wait for him... if not then nevermind...

any clues...

i just hope it isnt as bad as Moss' injury last year. he had what was described as a small "hole like" tear in the middle of the muscle and missed the better part of five games. even when he came back, he was only eighty percent -- he didn't have the same explosiveness off the block and couldn't dominate as usual; it was the type of injury that couldn't fully heal until the offseason. lets hope this injury isnt as severe. i'd expect to be without him until after the bye.

I would cut him, but he is still on our can't cut list, I could really use another spot right now.

Well his bye is week 10...FF playoffs arent till the weeks of 14,15 and 16

So if he comes back by week 11 you get him for 3 weeks even before the playoffs.

I would love this scenario, let him rest, save him for the best part of our season :wall:

Helps that i can afford this tho, being 6-1 :wall:
