Titans quarterback Steve McNair threw passes on Monday, and Titans Head Coach Jeff Fisher said he expects McNair to play Sunday against the Oakland Raiders.

McNair began suffering back spasms before last Sunday's game with the Cincinnati Bengals. McNair did not make the trip to Arizona, and Fisher said he thinks the rest helped.

''He was getting better, and after talking with the doctors, we thought the best decision was to rest him, and just get this behind him,'' Fisher said.

''The treatment was working, the exercises were working, the spasms were diminishing, and we just decided the best thing was to do was to go with Billy (Volek), and we took into consideration the long plane trip, and the nature of the injury and thought it would just be best to leave him behind and have him treat the lower back symptoms here over the weekend.''

''He feels good.''

Good News.

Now who to start next to Daunte?

McNair, Holcome, or Garcia?

Hmmm

And do not copy the BIG RED thing in your reply,

I am just stating my situation.

NASHVILLE, Tenn. - Tennessee quarterback Steve McNair should start Sunday against the Oakland Raiders after sitting out a game to rest his sore back.

McNair has missed five practices over the last two weeks and didn't play in Sunday's loss in Arizona. Coach Jeff Fisher said Monday the team decided to leave McNair in Nashville for continued treatment and rest.

"It really helped him," Fisher said. "He went out and threw today and felt pretty good. It's good to get him back. I would expect he would be able to do some things for us on the practice field on Wednesday."

The Titans got results of an MRI exam on receiver Brandon Jones' right knee that they described as positive, without giving further details. He was hurt late in the 20-10 loss to Arizona, and Fisher said the rookie felt better on Monday but still had some swelling.

They also ran tests on running back Chris Brown, who got a shoulder stinger that caused him to loose feeling in his right hand. He was hurt early in the second quarter and didn't return.

The Titans get running back Travis Henry back to practice this week after his four-game suspension for violating the league's substance abuse policy. They cleared space by waiving receiver Andreae Thurman, who violated team rules over the weekend.

But the Titans will be looking for a long snapper after Ken Amato broke his fibula. Fisher said there was a chance they could brace up Amato's leg, but that he was sore Monday.

Oakland also had some injuries in the secondary, maybe McNair will get a few throws in the red zone, but to whom?
