Suggs injury update

Running back Lee Suggs had a pin removed from his broken thumb, head coach Romeo Crennel said Wednesday.

 

"We are going to work with him on range of motion and things like that," Crennel said. "There is no change in the timetable."

 

Suggs suffered the injury during the team's win over the Chicago Bears on Oct. 9. He is slated to be out four to six weeks, which would target his return near the Nov. 20 game vs. Miami.

 

Suggs is doing everything he can while injured to stay in playing shape, both physically and mentally.

 

"I go to all the meetings, take notes, watch film and try to play out the game week like I was still going to play," Suggs said. "While the team is practicing, I spend a good deal of time with (strength and conditioning coach) John Lott running uphill, running routes and trying to stay in game condition.

 

"It has been one thing after another. I feel like I haven't played at all this year. Once I get past this I'll be ready to go."

The Plain Dealer reports Lee Suggs had the pin removed from his broken thumb this week. The broken thumb has allowed him to rest his injury prone body so he can help fantasy players in the last quarter of the season!
