Absurdly EARLY Fantasy Mock draft

Recommended Posts

17) Brian Westbrook - Anderson confuses the situation. Too high for west here.

Who is anderson that you speak of?

next up, don't forget about ROY Williams. I think the Lions passing game will be better under the new coaches and new QB's.

Lets go Roy Williams here. <_<

Thanks Mr Portis26, well done.

Brady is the second QB taken...

QBs will be tough to figure out this season after Manning

with ...Brady; McNabb; Pepper; Green; Eli??

39) Donovan McNabb

40) Daunte Culpepper

I figure with BRady going a few picks earlier -these QBS are best value at this spot.

2 nominees for the next couple of picks..... Javon Walker (status makes it tough, but his talent is there) and Gonzo (up in age, but still has to be #3 or #4 TE).

r u drafting them? or suggesting them?

I would tke either... Id learn towards Ahman Green, Dominck Davis, even Ron Dayne or T Bell - but the two u mentioned, I dont think its close to call those guys names yet.

I dont want to throw a name out that hasnt been picked yet, but why are all of these qbs going before Carson palmer? As far as I'm concerned he is the #2 FF qb this year. His injury was his ankle and will not affect his game very much if at all. Is it that serious that he will miss some time?

Cincy has a very balanced O and he has one of the best WRs in the game.

Guys taken ahead of him:

Brady - good FF wise, but limited upside with the current receiving group

McNabb - throwing to ????

Culpepper - new offence and coming off a much worse injury

I guess the injur, and McNabb has been putting up decent fantasy numbers before TO was there, and I bet he will continue to do so. ... but we'll put Carson next.

44) Andre Johnson

I think he goes in the top 50, regardless of last years performance.

Phillip Rivers being the QB in San Diego sway'd me away from LT as the #1 pick - no other reason...

Plus the career year Alex had.

No Corey Dillon yet....Would you take a chance with him? Worth a 3rd/4th round pick, right? Probably a GL back, at minimum.

I think Warrick Dunn should be the next pick. Nice value in the 4th rd.

Agreed. Dunn's got less risk than Dillon.

I'm glad you brought up Rivers, because I don't think that's a good reason. With Hutchinson and Brees gone, and the Seahawks no longer having the luxury of simply letting Alexander go at the end of the year if he gets hurt, the focus of both offenses will shift.

Last year Alexander had 370 carries and the Seahawks only had 501 pass plays (including pass attempts and sacks). Tomlinson only had 339 carries and the Chargers had 536 pass plays. Even so, Alexander only outgained LT by 126 combined rushing/receiving yards and 5 total TDs. This is despite the fact that the Chargers had (arguably along with the Patriots) the toughest schedule in the NFL and the Seahawks one of the easiest.

This year look for LT to be closer to 370 carries and Alexander to be closer to 340. That will make a big difference in terms of yardage and in terms of TDs as well. I think Tomlinson will easily outgain Alexander and his secure contract by 400+ yards this year, and the TDs are a push.

Rivers being inexpierenced weighs ALOT in my decision making. Defenses will key on LT and force Rivers to beat them ... Teams can't to that against Seattle.

but i like your thoughts - very well presented

That's possible, but LT's best year was when Brees sucked goat balls in 2003.

Who's taking over IND's RB duties? Why didn't anyone draft Rhodes? I'd take Rhodes in the 3rd if he was gauranteed the job.
