Frats are havens

Recommended Posts

That ain't hazing. If it were my fraternity in that article I'd call them up and call them poosays and an embarassment to our legacy.

My pledge period was fine.

Sure they hazed us, but the whole time, they always had the president and some other guys making sure nothing got out of control and they were always saying "don't do this if you don't want to."

They got groups of hot girls to "haze" us, make us drink and do crazy sh1t

We had to dress up in ties and shirts on thursdays

Made dinner for a sorority pledge class

Do a fundraiser

Use the money in the fundraiser to throw a huge party

Nothing that bad until we got into hell week. That was the bad week.

Tell us what happened.

It was just a 24/7 thing for a week.

A lot of fcking with the mind.

You get no contact from the outside world. The only place you are allowed to go is to your class.

I won't get into detail, but nothing illegal, just mind fcking.

"The Delta Chi Fraternity

The 121 chapters and colonies of Delta Chi Fraternity across the United States and Canada have taken an active roll in providing anything they can to assist hurricane Katrina and Rita survivors. From our Texas Tech brothers serving meals to displaced evacuees to our Oklahoma brothers raising more than $3,000 through campus canning, Delta Chi continues to provide needed assistance. Other chapters are organizing philanthropic fundraising kickball tournaments, concerts, haircut marathons and even a "teeter-tot-a-thon."

We did the kickball one.

Pretty much the same for us. Nothing I wouldn't do, but lots of deception and focking with your mind.

Ours was the last week of winter break so we didn't get the luxury of going to class. 16 hour days of cleaning and repairing the entire house with breaks only for meals and bathroom. By the end some guys took really long dumps...

Then initiation which lasted about 24 hours straight. Can't really discuss it here, or I'd have to kill you.

So if Elton John gives enough money to charity, does that make him less gay?

Frats are so large and varied, it's so hard to sufficiently stereotype them, something many people want to do.

There were rapes and terrible things that went on at frats at UW, but we're a campus of 44,000. There are bound to be bad apples.

I met a lot of nice frat dudes and there were always guys in my res. hall pledging them, too.

Met a lot of pompous, privileged a-holes, too.

Frat parties were usually fun to go to every once in awhile.

Sad to say, frat dudes were 0 for 47 in trying to pull girls away from donhaas with the "Ya know I got my own room upstairs here at the frat" line.

It must have worked somewhere, though, because it was a popular line.

Thankfully that wasn't in our charter. Or if it was, we ignored it.

Just telling them about the room will NEVER work, you gotta give them an initiative to go to the room with you.

Like if you have a camera, take a couple pics with her and friends and just go, "Wanna go check out these pictures on my computer?"

Or if its late, and the keg is tapped, "I got some booze in my room if you still want to drink."
