Not being nasty or anything, but you're gonna want to move this thread to the 'A Little Help' forum before you get flamed by someone. This forum is not for this type of question.

The excerpt from the forum rules, to save you from having to search for it:

Post to the correct forum and only that forum. Do not post Who Should I (Start/Trade/Draft/Pick Up, etc.) type questions on the "FF Today Board". Please use the "A Little Help" board for any and all team management questions. This is a necessity given the high traffic of these forums.

I don't think this post falls into the "who should I..." format at all. There are a hundred posts like it...look at all of the RB rankings lists on this forum.

That being said...I would prefer to wait and see who drafts them before I make an official ranking.

If you are talking redraft leagues, then it most certainly depends on where guys wind up. If Deangelo Williams winds up in Indy, i'd take him before I took Bush sharing time with DD this year.

Now, if we are talking Dynasty, then Bush is clearly still ahead of Williams no matter where he goes.

Also Leinart second is a mistake IMO, especially in redrafts, but also in dynasty or keeper.

Sure it does! The fact that his lists are in no particular order just screams to me 'please rank these guys, or any you think might deserve to be in this list instead'. Looks to me like he's just fishing for other people's work, when he should be doing his own homework. Maybe I'm way off base, but that's the feeling I get with both the post heading and content.

kristv, the help board is for questions pertaining directly to individual teams. This topic is precisely what this board is for.

Unfortunately this topic is pretty meaningless before the draft, somewhat difficult after the draft, and doesn't really start to matter much until training camp when we start getting serious information on how these rookies look on their new teams.

That said, I really don't like DaveJ's lists. Are we assuming redraft, keeper, dynasty? What kind of IDP scoring could possibly have a DE ahead of a stud LB? What are 3 Qbs doing in the top 7 of a fantasy cheatsheet? How come there's two more in the top 15? How can we reasonably assess the all important RBs for fantasy purposes without knowing where they'll play? Wouldn't it be more helpful to rank the IDPs completely separate from the others to look at some depth? I'll stop.

Ummmm...so asking for the top 15 players for IDP leagues and standard FF format isn't asking for help with fantasy team management? Sure seems like it to me. Look, I'm really not that bothered but for 'consistency of rules' sake, I believe this particular thread should be on the other board. This topic is asking for help with his draft strategy whether he comes right out and says it (which seems that way by the thread title) or not.

Don't like him? He might be your team's QB if he holds his breath and stomps around long enough.

My friend, stick around. We rank them fifteen thousand times before August every year. To be consistent with the rule, remember it's purpose, and the purpose of the boards. This board is for general football information with a strong bias towards fantasy information. Ranking the RBs, the WRs, all positions, including the rookies, is key to this boards reason for being.

The help board is to ask questions about your team. That's the purpose. If DaveJ posted something like:

I have the 2nd and 8th picks in an IDP dynasty league's rookie draft, what should I do?

Send that to the help board.

If someone says, let's look at top 15 rookies a couple different ways. That belongs here.

The idea is to get all the help seekers out of here while satisfying the info seekers.

Not asking for help, its called a discussion thread....... you know where you toss out some players and see where people think they should fall. Nowhere do I ask for help picking a player, starting a player or choosing one over another.. its simply give me the top 15 players in each DIFFERENT format. This will help display the differences between the two formats.

Now put your little forum police playset down and get back to posting.

Okay.. to the rest of you. You're right its a little vague. I was thinking about this last night when I was going down the available players and I started thinking about trading up or down in a league to get a pick and I was saying to myself... Jezzz.. while Bush would be a no brainer in either format or team, these other guys at RB really depend on where they end up. Same with the QB's to an extent.... so I was curious just on pure raw talent and NOT based on the team they end up with. This is less so with the Defensive players...

Keeper format... Standard scoring with points for special teams play, receptions on rbs etc...

See the little bit.. in no particular order.. those were simply the 15 top players in no particular order.

your way off...

so by june this board will have top 10 players top 10 RBs 10 WRs 10 TEs 10 K 10 Def.

that is what this board is for.....this guy doesnt have a certain team he is asking you about....he is asking you for rankings....thats what we do here when its closer to FFball season

I'm not 100% sold on any of the QBs coming out this year, and for Fantasy purposes, i'd definitely rather have Bush or Williams, and depending on where they end up, a few other RBs too.

As for the Jets drafting Leinart, if he fell to 4 and they took him I would keep an open mind, but if they trade their other first rounder or a ton of other picks to move up and get him I think I might go into a depressed drunken stupor.

IMHO the 4th spot is a great place to be this year. Bush, Williams, Ferguson, Leinart, Hawk are all potential difference makers and the Jets could use any one of them. Why trade away potential impact picks later on to get a specific one when you can just pick what falls in your lap and then utilize the collection of picks you have later to round out your team?

The Jets get Young. Rite it down!

I may have to commit Jet fan Hari Kiri if that happens.

They have said that they are not interested in him, I hope that is true and not just a smokecreen.
