Joe Carcuss 0 Posted April 21, 2006 G. Jones looked very good in limited action last season and Fragle Fred looks to be on his last legs. Any Jags homers know what is going on down there? Jones could be a real sleeper if he is given the chance to start.
Peens 0 Posted April 21, 2006 If Jax doesnt draft a RB in rd1 or rd2 in the draft then I would agree, he might be a good play that can be had late in drafts.
DaveJ 0 Posted April 21, 2006 I think they will continue to go with Fred with Jones as the backup until its a given he is done. When hes not banged up, he does well and they are happy with his production. Jones will certainly get his share of the load and is a definite need if you have Taylor. That said, I think they will draft a RB at some point. If White is available by the time they get to pick they will grab him. If not, look for a 2nd or 3rd rounder. esoitl 0 Posted April 21, 2006 i tend to disagree with Jax taking a RB this year i was very surprised by them drafting Jones and moving him to FB they will run Taylor this year as he is a great RB but with Toefield, Jones, and even Pearman looking good behind him, i think they have enough options already IMO its par for the course this year with Jones at some point likely to shift into the starting role, most likely as soon as Taylors contract runs out
Raider 84 29 Posted April 22, 2006 If they can get a top rb they should take it because Fragile Freddy wants out. Pearman is their next best option and Im not quite sure how he will do over an entire season. I can be wrong but I wouldnt bank my season on Jones.
