bigmarc27 24 Posted April 29, 2006 As soon as Calhoun and Maurice Drew get picked, they'll jump in there as well... just as a quick look: 1. Bush 2. Maroney 3. Addai 4. Williams 5. Calhoun *pending team 6. Davis 7. Leinart 8. White 9. Drew 10. Young Just missing: Holmes/Cutler/Jackson/Lewis/Moss Still Waiting on: Jones-Drew, Hagan, Pope, Stovall, and all other QBs ETA: There is a very clear top X # of players in my mind - I won't divulge that at this point since I'm in dynastys with some of you. Also, the above list is more where I see them getting picked; not necessarily my order.

bigtuna 0 Posted April 30, 2006 1. Bush: he is special 2. Addai: perfect for Indy 3. Maroney: wait might only be a year 4. Lendale White: Chrios Brown sucks 5. Leinhart. He is goood 6. Chad Jackson: Future STAR 7. Vince Young: double threat 8. DeAngelo Williams: Foster and Shelton in his way 9. Santonio Holmes: Pittsburgh is not a air attack. 10. Cutler: wait a year or 2. 11. Davis: could be a Gates 12. Brian Calhoun: if Jones falters...you never know

crooklyn 0 Posted April 30, 2006 1. Reggie Bush (I see Faulk-ala-2000/2001-numbers in the near and far future) 2. Laurence Maroney (fell into a great spot, only 21 years old) 3. Vernon Davis (the future of the TE position) 4. DeAngelo Williams (should have a nice career, working with Foster/Shelton initially might be a blessing) 5. Joseph Addai (nice situation, does he have the talent to keep it? I am not sold) 6. Lendale White (Chris Brown/Travis Henry/Man Boobs/Failed Drug Test/etc., this guy has Ron Dayne part deux written all over him) 7. Matt Leinhart (lands in an ideal offense in AZ -- could have Carson Palmer-like year in 2007) 8. Santonio Holmes (best WR in a weak class, no better than a #2 ff WR ever) 9. Chad Jackson (2nd best WR in a weak class) 10. Vince Young (Mike Vick has never translated to great fantasy success, not sure Vince will either) I think the talent drops off significantly after the top 10: Jay Cutler, Sinorice Moss, and maybe Marcedes Lewis, and then come the flyer back-up RB's like Calhoun and Drew. DrJ 0 Posted April 30, 2006 IMO, there becomes very little difference between 2 and 4 at this point. Maroney and Williams are clearly better prospects than Addai, but Addai gets a big boost due to the system. 5 is where is starts to get interesting. It depends a lot on the league format. If it's RB heavy, White becomes the pick. TE required, and you can make a case for both Leinart or Davis at the 5 spot...
bigmarc27 24 Posted April 30, 2006 The top 4 are brutally clear, it just depends what order the 2,3, and 4 guys go in... 1. Reggie Bush 2a. Maroney 2b. Williams 2c. Addai *I can make a case for and against all of these guys to go #2. My personal preference... ehhh probably Maroney. Pick 5 is where it now gets interesting and I think team need may play a little role here. The options in my mind are Leinart, White, and Davis. If I were drafting on a purely talent standpoint, I'd probably go in this order: 5. Leinart 6. Vernon Davis 7. LenDale White After these 3, I think it's... 8. Vince Young (swap his ranking with Leinart if there's a Longhorns fan drafting in your league) Time for a mini-WR run to end the top 10... 9a. Santonio Holmes 9b. Chad Jackson Another QB: 11. Jay Cutler Then you're onto a big list of question marks and I could forsee any of the following at pick 12 and beyond: QB: Clemmons RB: Drew, Calhoun, Norwood, someone who's drafted tomorrow to be a backup WR: any of them - personal pref TE: see WRs
XToday 0 Posted April 30, 2006 1) Bush (He's all that and more) 2) Addai (I'm higher on him than others, and his situation is perfect. This "Rhodes is gonna be the starter" talk is just crap to get him motivated in camp... Only a lengthy holdout would change this.) 3) Maroney (Like Alexander when he was drafted-- "he who waits will be rewarded") 4) Williams (RBs are valued more than QBs, but I'd take Leinert here) 5) Leinert (he will inherit arguably the best offense in the league in a year or two) 6) Davis (Only in TE-required leagues, otherwise he's not even a first rounder) 7) White (I think he'll bust, but again, RBs are valued) 8) Young (Probably a bit early, but I'd rather have him than an overvalued WR) 9) Jackson (In a redraft, I'd take Holmes first. But Jackson's the only one with true WR1 potential. But it's gonna take time) 10) Holmes (he's got heart, but may not pan out on next level. Only reason he's a first rounder in the NFL is because of Steve Smith and Santana Moss) 11) Cutler (could probably be better than Young, but Plummer's presence knocks him down) 12) Sinorice Moss (could be about 10 guys here, but I'd take Moss and hope for the best) (when I finished this, I realized I was pretty close to bigmarc's order)
swamp dog 0 Posted April 30, 2006 dynasty or no dynasty, qbs take too long to develop and are too uncertain for me to put on a list. even a guy like ben in pitt: how good of a ff qb is he? not very. value pick: calhoun. he'll pay an instant return in leagues that allow 1-pt per reception and his role could expand in detroit next year.
