TAS 2 Posted May 4, 2006 In a few years, the answer will be my daughter's braces. She had her initial consultation last week. $2300.00 for phase one and $2300.00 for phase two. Her mouth will be worth twice as much as anything else i own. Been there! 4g's on fixing the front rows. It seems like an ungodly amount to pay for something like that, but well worth it when it is through!

TAS 2 Posted May 4, 2006 My daughter is 4 years old and I already have $1700 invested in orthodontistry. What did your daughter have done at 4 yrs. old? My daughter is 5 and has only had the customary twice a year cleaning type stuff?
George Carlin 1 Posted May 4, 2006 Here's one for ya: You pay off your house, car, etc. You are 100% out of debt. You OWN everything. Then you want to get a loan for a vacation, so you go to the bank and they give you a loan. You don't pay the loan. You wake up to find your car gone because the bank took it to pay off the vacation loan. You are saying that the second you took out the vacation loan, you gave up ownership of your car and house simply because they were collateral on the vacation loan. Once you use something as collateral to procure a loan, the bank owns it until you pay off the loan. Right?
parrot 789 Posted May 4, 2006 What did your daughter have done at 4 yrs. old? My daughter is 5 and has only had the customary twice a year cleaning type stuff? Palate expander for an under/crossbite. My older daughter also had the underbite but that was straightened out with a bite plane that ran me only $300. The Doc assures me they'll both likely need braces later on regardless. Recidivist 1 Posted May 4, 2006 Once you use something as collateral to procure a loan, the bank owns it until you pay off the loan. Right? Wrong Title to property and a secured interest in that property are two (2) separate things. You aren't that bright are you?
