BiPolarBear 485 Posted May 6, 2006 We have a Red Bellied Paddle Tailed Newt and he is hell on the feeder guppies, let me tell you. We buy the guppies 10 at a time and he gets real excited when we put them in the water. He will eat about four of them pretty quickly. OK, here is the part I am proud of: after he is full, he likes to kill some of the guppies just for the hell of it. He stalks them, grabs them and holds them in his mouth. After a while, he slings them onto the dry land to die and goes of to kill another one for no reason. Isn't that great! So much for all that BS about animals only killing to eat.
