Breaker Breaker, One-Nine

Recommended Posts

I'm looking for a Northbound 95. What's it look like over your shoulder, good buddy? Any plain brown wrappers. I'm sure enough eyeballing me some beavers. Well, I got to back it on down and go 10-8.

Threes and eights.

The Country Boy said it.

We gone.

I always wanted to put a CB in my cars. Do people still use them on the road?

Back in the late 70's, we had a unit in both cars, as well as a home base unit. My dad was into them big-time.

He even drug us kids to a few CB Rally's, where you'd meet other CB fanatics from the surrounding area.

I would kill to have video from those rallies.

Why not put an antena on your house and just have a base station? Truckers still use them. I think. Sometimes the medication I'm taking precludes me from remembering little things. Like the date.

I'm ok now.

Does this thread qualify as a great big convoy?

Huh? If I'm in the car traveling somewhere, what good would that do me? I'd like to have it to find out where the traffic problems are and where the speed traps are. If people still use it for much of anything.

[Chorus]

'Cause we got a little convoy

Rockin' through the night.

Yeah, we got a little convoy,

Ain't she a beautiful sight?

Come on and join our convoy

Ain't nothin' gonna get in our way.

We gonna roll this truckin' convoy

'Cross the U-S-A.

Convoy!

That is sooooo 1970's!

These days, the "in" thing is to just get pulled over and then kill the cop.

I'm sorry. I wasn't clear. I meant listen in to conversations etc. to see if you can pick up the lingo.

It's interesting to hear the people go by out on the turnpike.

BTW I joke, but I still have one in my pickup. Rarely use it , once in awhile if there is traffic I'll tune to 19 and hear the southern drawl of my youth.

It was a simpler, easier time.

Kill a cop :P

How come there's laws prohibiting people from talking on wireless telephones while driving; but CB radios are OK? I thought they were fvcking annoying and redneck during the '70's; has anything changed?

Have you seen the guys who use cb radios? (think Larry the Cable Guy).

The lawmakers don't care if they're in accidents.
