Dog Face Gremlins211 0 Posted May 10, 2006 ESPN's John Clayton reports agent Bob LaMonte's Tuesday visit to Seattle could lead a contract extension for HC Mike Holmgren by the end of the week. LaMonte met with Holmgren a month ago to plot out a plan that could lead to an extension. At that time, Holmgren was trying to figure out whether he wanted a contract past 2006, which will be his eighth year as the Seahawks' coach. During the past month, Holmgren and his wife, Kathy, decided they definitely wanted to stay in Seattle past this year. Now Holmgren and the team must hammer out a deal. Holmgren will make $7 million this year, more than any other coach in football. Owner Paul Allen said at the Super Bowl that he wanted Holmgren to stay, and he is the richest owner in sports. With the team feeling as though it might be more talented this year than last, it would make sense to lock up the coach who helped rebuild the franchise. http://www.ffmastermind.com/quickbits.php
