Don't remember the album. But the first 45 I bought was "Rhinestone Cowboy", and I played it for days and days.

"Stay Hungry," Twisted Sister <_<

"TWISTED SISTER has signed with American record label Razor & Tie for the purpose of releasing a final CD. The CD will be a Christmas album of standards done in an all-heavy metal format. Due to release date commitments, the band had to cancel several shows this summer, including two in England on June 27th [London Hammersmith Apollo] and 28th [Nottingham Rock City] and turn down four high-profile festivals in Europe. The planned release date will be in mid-October. The title, track listing and support dates will be announced by the end of the summer."

I wanna say Andy Gibb's Shadow Dancing!

But I think it goes back farther than that... I remember on my 11th or 12th b-day I got a bunch of albums I had asked for:

Fleetwood Mac - Rumors

Queen - (I forget the name, it was a green cover with a robot stepping on people)

ELO

Styx - The Grand Illusion

Styx - Paradise Theatre

"Leon Live!" Leon Russell

Classic! Southern Nights and Wichita Lineman are greta, too.

Wichita Lineman is one of the best written songs in pop history. Did you see the tribute to Jimmy Webb where Billy Joel breaks it down line-by-line? Great stuff.

I had a lot of albums given to me and handed down: Johnny Cash's greatest hits, all kinds of Elvis records (bought when they came out), Kingston Trio, Marty Robbins, etc.

The first album I ever bought was Boston's first album.

The second was Jeff Beck's "Blow By Blow."

I still got 'em, too, along with about 2,000 other focking useless albums.

My first album was my solo debut, "Hoyt's Hits for Swingin' Chicks"

Was reviewed favorably, but didn't peform on the charts like I hoped

This was of course followed by my sophomore effort, "Tales from Intergalactic Space" which was a sort of Prog-Rock Opera type thing.
